You could - almost - imagine that the latter "tracks" / shadows the former.Telegraph Sam

I thought they changed it(SVT) so that it was no longer based purely on previous wholesale prices but also has future price predictions as part of its calculations.masonic said:
SVT is based on average wholesale prices from the past, while Tracker is based on present wholesale prices. The former evidently having more margin baked in than the latter... so far at least.Telegraph_Sam said:Is there any kind of a "link" between SVT and Tracker price, or are they totally independent of each other in practice?0 -
Yes, you are correct. I should have said "based on average wholesale price predictions from the past" as they are based on information from weeks before the tariff applies, not up to date info.wakeupalarm said:

Did anyone else get a refund to their account dated yesterday and labelled "Tracker Price Correction"? I presume it was something to do with the recent issues with the wholesale price feed that stopped the price being updated. Just 6p in my case, but every little helps.

33p for me.
That's good they do that, as technically still a beta tariff they probably didn't have to.1 -

No email. I wonder if this is from the days when they didn’t update the daily rate last week. 15p for me. Nice to see electricity a bit cheaper tomorrow.0

So it depends on clued-up eagle-eyed members keeping a watchful eye on their website account, or remain in ignorance.
Likewise we [NE] are looking at a 12% drop tomorrow though we can't match your 15 p / kWhTelegraph Sam
