I wanted to see these figures in Compare but the app seems to be non-functional, both at night which is usual, and now in daylight. Are other Compare-subscribers now having the same problem??
The free version works just fine for me. Why would the time of day make any difference as to whether it worked or not?

Looking on the weekly view instead of daily, I have data upto 20th August. I think (just guessing) that it's down to the tweaks Octopus have made which are affecting the APIs by producing missing data slots. I've seen on a FB page that Octopus expect to sort this out next week. Will probably resolve this issue then (again guessing).

For some time now Compare has been down when I have tried to use it at night times. Lack of data is quoted as the reason. Daytime use has however been possible though - until now.  Hopefully Slinky's guess will be correct. Especially at times like the present

That makes no sense at all to me. Are you turning something off at night Sam that is affecting your connectivity?
  • I plead not guilty. I just do a spot check from time to time. I have just tried now 10.10 pm with the usual result: "No data available for Fri 23 Aug". This msg is repeated daily with the previous day's date updated. I assumed that the problem was universal.

But you have all of your other data right? And nothing that was there earlier in the day has disappeared? If so, then it just means Octopus hasn't yet pulled yesterday's data from the DCC, which happens from time to time and doesn't mean Octopus Compare is down or it has anything to do with it being night time. Obviously after midnight, "yesterday" becomes a different day and you should expect the data for the day just ended not to be there.

I'm missing Fri data too - and 32 half hour slots from 19/20/21 Aug, which I reported via Twitter/X.

"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

My data from yesterday isn't there yet, I thought that was normal?  It's not in Bright either.  The only reason it's there in the Octopus app is from the Home Mini

Normally data from the previous day would be there by this time of day, but every now and then a day gets skipped and caught up the next day (or two).
I've not had any gaps in my data fortunately.
  • I'm not awareof any other missing data, but I don't monitor the gongs on as assiduously as you do. The same message pops up every time I try to get connected, with the date of the previous day's missing data being updated (part of the msg is an instruction to me to check with the Octopus dashboard).
Had this been an occasional short term occurrence I would not have taken up thread space, but it has alll the appearance of becoming a way of life.
