Octopus Tracker

Daily Octopus tracker rates continue to be updated,, anyone considering tracker tariff I suggest rates now are more relevant than 2020 rates which are unlikely to be repeated anytime soon.Octopus Energy tracker forecast seems to be based around 13p including Vat for Electricity which as other have said appears to be very optimistichttps://energy.guylipman.com/sm/gastracker Energy Cap for the much maligned expensive standard tariffs is around 3.34pkw subject to regional variation, as I pointed out earlier this year tracker gas kwh rate was well above the then energy cap (2.99p subject to regional variation) during coldest period of Winter 2020, name of game from moneysaving point of view is to pay lowest rates as opposed to apparent higher rates .......Looks like stated to be much cheaper gas kwh day 3 May that was screenshotted a few pages back was an error and has been amended.

Bit of a thread bump but what rates are people currently seeing on Octopus Tracker at the moment?
My Welcome to GNE 3 on EDF tariff expires at the end of the month and the Octopus Tracker is only £10 than their Flexible one according to their website and the various comparison sites.
From what I can see, the Tracker seems to be their version of a deemed tariff which makes me a bit twitchy as they are the most costly but then if their estimated costs are accurate it doesn't seem to be that must more than their other offerings at the moment.0 -

Octopus Go Faster: peak 16.49p/kWh and 5 hours at 5.5p/kWh would seem to be a better bet. This is a beta tariff by invitation only and it requires a smart meter on 30 minute usage recording. No EV required. Fixed for 12 months: no exit fee.

Ok, so I think I can discount the Tracker then
For comparison the EDF 'exclusive' renewal tariff is:
Electric: 19.9p/kW and Gas: 3.972 p/kWh
For the Go Faster tariff, how do you get an invite for that or do you have to sign up with them on a regulsr tariff then switch?
It also says it is an electric only tariff and that you can add a gas tariff but there is no option to do that? Unless I am missing something obvious?0 -

The difference between Go and Go Faster is 4 hours at 5p/kWh on Go and 5 hours at 5.5p/kWh on Go Faster. Once Octopus has accepted your switch, then email agile@octopus.energy requesting an invite for Go Faster.Switch your gas to Octopus directly or through a PCW. There is no need to use Octopus for your gas: like many Octopus electricity customers, my gas supply is with Zog.0 -
Don’t move to octopus for gas, it’s not competitive. Also stay away from tracker tariff as its amongst the highest you’ll pay at the moment.
I also second going on octopus go faster. It’s one of the cheapest tariffs around at the moment. Surely a price rise is imminent!0 -
