awaiting for electric statement, is it worth contacting octopus?
What does avg out mean? I have only been on tracker for a month and just had my first full bill and trying to understand it.0 -
I think they have done this to me, but as I am new to the tracker and its my first bill nothing to compare to.My bill says:- Energy Used 225.5 kWh @ 17.50p/kWh for electric andEnergy Used* 798.7 kWh @ 3.85p/kWh† for my gasShould I be contacting them to be rebilled or would it not make much difference to my bill?

No, that's not it. Scroll down to the bottom pages to see the individual days. You can then see if they are allocated correctly. I noticed my gas was wrong when my boiler broke but gas use was still allocated on those days. The averaging you're seeing is something they always do.akh43 said:I think they have done this to me, but as I am new to the tracker and its my first bill nothing to compare to.My bill says:- Energy Used 225.5 kWh @ 17.50p/kWh for electric andEnergy Used* 798.7 kWh @ 3.85p/kWh† for my gasShould I be contacting them to be rebilled or would it not make much difference to my bill?3 -

Thanks for pointing that out as I hadn't gone further down the bill as its usually just the workings and other stuff, now I know where to look going forward 👍

this weekend is looking like a real freebie for electric, anyone having a guess how low it will go
i'm going for about 6p kw, washer is getting a service wash at 90c for sure2 -
Adding to other replies - with Tracker Gas, this tends to happen if there is even a single half hour slot missing in the whole month. This seems to happen a lot more with gas meters than electric - since i went on gas tracker i have not yet had a single month where there was not at least some missing data so always averaged out.akh43 said:northernstar007 said:ive just had my gas statement for march and been avg out, NOT happy in the least

Electric - so far I have never seen a missing slot so I get bulled at actual usage. A couple of times I had to contact them to pull the data again as something was updated late and Octoupus had missed it in their normal time of pulling the data.1 -
well, just under 10p for tomorrow. i dont think 6p is even possible on the newer formula.northernstar007 said:this weekend is looking like a real freebie for electric, anyone having a guess how low it will go

9.04p/kWh for me (on Tracker v2) - On April 2024 v1, it would be 12.53p/kWh!pfpf said:

Am I right in saying that new sign ups will be on an April 2024 tracker where the standing charges are higher but daily rates are the same as the Dec ‘23 formula?0
