Anyone disappointed to miss these bargain tariffs will be relieved to be offered V2 available today around 10% cheaper.

It would be useful if someone could explain where to find the V2 Tracker, because yesterday I was  considering signing  up to the v3  Tracker. Does any know what the rates are for the V2.

I feel like I need an idiots guide!

I think the V2 related to Octopus fixed, which is a bit lower today:

New rip off rates on Octopus Loyal fix over 50p per kwh of electric and almost 17p per kwh of gas.

Thank goodness for the 40p electric / 11p caps on the tracker!!!!

But still £200 a year more for me than my calculations for the new price cap. Looking again at Agile but I wasn't planning to get a smart meterm
If you are resistant to a smart meter. Tracker v3 capped at 40p elec and 11p gas then if you don't want a smart meter?
It was mainly due to them not working correctly when you switch supplier but that may be out of date now.

Presumably you need to call them to get the "hidden" tariffs.

What are they playing at?! :o

As stated previously, Octopus fixes are based on future hedged energy costs. Those future costs vary frequently, so the Octopus fixes do too.
... although this is the first (and second!) changes to their fixed rates since April.

v1 launched the day before! Does it change so dramatically, in such a short time? Genuine question.
The previous fix was April 2022 v1.

Huge rise in Electricity DA today - for me, tomorrow's rate is 42.39p/kWh, so 40p cap has been hit.

I suppose the closer we are to autumn and winter the more the 40p cap will be hit?
Not sure the prices will come down much between now and tithe start of autumn either
