I am not qualified to answer properly other than to say that my approach is to combine Oct Compare readings with a risk attitude input: high risk high gain >> Agile or the opposite >> Tracker.

That convector heater makes me wonder if Tracker might be a better option for electric in the winter.

I’m on Tracker for Gas and Agile for Electricity. If you can avoid using a lot of Electricity between 4.00pm and 7.00pm then Agile is likely to be cheaper as Agile is generally cheaper outside those times.

Q2) We  normal 4 bed house with CH heating and normal electric use, I work from home and do use a small convector heater in office on cold days during the day. Cooking is primary gas around 5pm daily.   which of the 2 tariff be better for us Agile or Tracker?
Get gas on the Tracker tariff.
Depending on how much electricity you use between 16:00 and 19:00, you may find Agile works out cheaper - Use the Octopus Compare app to see which one is best for you.
I'm a low energy user and my consumption during peak hours is often minimal (except at weekends), so Agile would work out slightly cheaper. But the savings for me is a matter of pennies each day.

FYI I switched to agile an hour ago on the website, I'm on it from 12:00 AM on the 28th, which either means I'm already on it or will be at midnight.

    Already on it.

Usually the switch is back dated to the start of the day on which you switched.
