You might have to tweet them and they reply for it to enable you to message them.  Protects them against having random abuse and bots just bombarding them in the private messages.  Something simple and polite as a tweet would do.

But otherwise the phones are usually staffed.

This is what their Twitter page looks like when logged out.

Yes you obviously have to log in to be able to use Twitter but other than that I don't see how you can't get access to Tweeting them.

Yes I had the same message so I reinstalled it. Seems to be ok so far.

Re Twitter, same situation. If I type www.twitter.com/octopus I can't get to the page you are showing. A pop-up appears saying that these posts are "protected" and my access request is "pending" until released by Octopus. I'll need an IT guru to tell me what the.   is going on. If anyone is listening I'd appreciate assistance

If you look at the bio for that account you were using its location is New York. Plus no colours or branding for Octopus Energy.

No benefit in switching Tariffs via twitter any more anyway - they just directed me to the forms available on the website. The form was processed within minutes though.
