Bar any who were put on Nov 22 fixed version by mistake, subsequently had complaint upheld about them removing that status, they are not knowingly honouring any, they were supposed to be putting customers who fall into that category onto current version individually.northernstar007 said:or they honour mine and many others contract till the end date1 -
I seriously hope Octopus would throw the book at anyone trying a fraud of that sort. But for anyone else who didn't get put on the wrong tariff by mistake, trying it on with a doctored screenshot is very unlikely to yield results. .
In fact the whole discussion is a bit surreal. The current tariff is saving about 25% off SVT, are some people really so outraged because they don't get a 30% discount instead?3 -

A tariff with a fixed end date is a contractual agreement for a fixed period which they eventually honoured in my case.masonic said:Griffindog said:
It goes without saying that has to show your account number too or something else to identify that it is your accountmasonic said:
Anyone can do that. You also need to have been on such a tariff and deal with someone who cannot articulate a sensible rebuttal.Griffindog said:
Provide screenshots showing November 2022 tariff with an end date.Telegraph_Sam said:If you know how to stay on Nov 22 (Agile or Tracker), tell us about it !I could without any difficulty generate a screenshot with my account number and the Nov 2022 tariff with an end date of 1st Jan 2030. It would do me no good if upon checking my account Octopus discovered I was never put on this version of the tariff (which of course I was not).Supposing I did genuinely get put on the Nov 2022 tariff with an end date, if I was unlucky I'd get a response from a competent complaint handler, who would inform me that under condition 2.9.8, they amended my agreement to the correct version of the tariff that was live at the time of my sign up and they are not liable for any losses resulting from this issue.
No it isn't. The terms were perfectly clear they could amended or withdraw the tariff at any time. You got lucky but if they wanted the could have told you no.

Looking at my usage case, for the month of february (without any load shifting)Telegraph_Sam said:Re Compare. I thought that I had read somewhere that the Dec 23 SC's were cheaper with Agile than with Tracker. But from your table that seems not to be the case. Do the SC's have to be added to the "Totals"?
Agile Dec 23 : £111.80
Tracker Dec 23: £140.07
Tracker Nov 22: £117.94
Octopus Go Faster 5H Dec 2019: £80.87
(if only this tariff returned!)
So it looks like for me agile (at the moment at least) is much better than either version of tracker, and will prob be slightly better when i loadshift from the peak hours.

You were able to "compare" 3 tariffs for the same period - as well as a 4th retrospectively.Telegraph Sam

My first full month results are in - moved from Tracker a month ago onto Agile and I’ve saved 20% 🥳🥳🥳🥳
The only habit I’ve changed is to move the charging of our EV to the cheapest part of the day (which is usually the early hours).
There are a handful of days where it’s not worked out cheaper but that’s because the EV wasn’t charged and dinner is still cooked at 5/6pm which on Agile is the super expensive time

100% with you that Agile is the EV users choice, esp if not very high use. I just wait until the cheap nights- altho it’s a bit of stick and twist! This profile is really helpful if you’re trying to decide when to charge https://twitter.com/agilepredictArcherychick said:My first full month results are in - moved from Tracker a month ago onto Agile and I’ve saved 20% 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Octopus intelligent Go seems cheap at night but it doesn’t take long to wipe out the benefit in the daytime.1 -

Yet to find an app to give me a reasonable approximation of what my monthly payments should be. I can find a spreadsheet though!

Octopus Compare can be used for this. You just need to use the month view a day or two before your next bill is generated and it should predict how much it will be with reasonable accuracy. While I use my own tool for this, it enables me to preload my account using a credit card and avoid my variable DD triggering. If you are on fixed DD, then I think you'd need to pay for the year view and divide that total by 12 to get your historic monthly average spend.PennineAcute said:
