Unless the majority of your usage is in that 3 hour window, then Agile can work for most people I'd say. I still boil the kettle, use the microwave and I manage to save.
Mind you, we haven't had the oven on yet but that's down to evening classes for the kids etc0 -

Presume some people still on gas tracker though. Those that have gch.

Still on tracker and not planning on leaving anytime soon! I know I'd get obsessed with Agile prices and let it consume my life a bit - even Tracker I check more than I need to - so I'm happy to potentially not save as much as trade for a quieter life6

I ve been with Agile only 3 days and saved about 80 p over Tracker . I am a low user at around only 6 kwh s a day , less in summer , so I m not going to manage as much as £10 a month saving, probably no more than £5 , but I had my first tastes of load shifting last night when the price went down to 3.12p a kwh and 4p kwh from 22.30 on so did a washing load for an hour and had an electric shower .That must have saved something but its difficult to work out as I don t know what the costs are for those appliances on Tracker at 17 p a kwh yesterday .
I am finding it good fun though but I can t come back to Tracker till November so I ve made my bed !0 -

You can see how much you used during a set period on the website or app. Multiply that by the Tracker price.

I'm still here, just haven't had much to say. [And currently, gingerly, coming out of a health crash which has consolidated my gut feeling that staying on Tracker for now is right for us within the overall context of our lives.]5

I am a low user at around 5.5 kWh per day and there has only been a 20p saving between Agile and Tracker Dec 23v1 for me over the last month based on the Octopus Compare app. I will be staying with Tracker for the time being since I value my time and our lifestyle flexibility more than a 20p a month saving.
Masonic makes some good points including the potential for Octopus to impose a waiting list in 9 months for those wanting to get back on Tracker during winter 2024. I think it is unlikely but still a risk worth considering.

I suspect (edited I have removed this comment but to note I did say I suspect not they are.) I can now see that Octopus have created waiting lists before for tracker thanks for the info below 👍 apologies for any offence taken @masonic
I do however agree that those who would spend too much time worrying about prices and load shifting are better off on tracker and the easy life.
If anyone wants to know our savings against the original tracker formula in Agile it's the Agile thread.

I think its more the case that the prolific posters who worried over every penny have moved to Agile leaving the more laid back ones like myself to carry on in our usual 'don't post much' style.
For myself, I worked out last year that Agile was consistently 1.4p a kwh dearer than the old Tracker formula so it made no sense to stay on it. West Midlands Tracker prices went up by about 1.9p so Agile could work out 0.5p a unit cheaper but my usage is only about 1200 kwh per year, a potential saving of £6. I still minimize my 4-7 usage for environmental reasons without having to stress about it. I won't be changing for £6.

(edited to remove responses to retracted statement above)It is a fact that a waitlist was previously imposed by Octopus in the first half of last year in response to a large volume of people wanting to join the tariff at the same time. Happy to have a discussion about the likelihood of this being repeated in light of any factors which may have changed or be different.5
