Electricity DA up again; for me, tomorrow's unit rate - 36.8p/kWh.
For the first six days of July, Tracker's average daily unit rate stands at 32.8p/kWh, circa 5p/kWh more than SVT.
Gas, for the first 5 days, is now also above SVT.
Come back June, all is forgiven! :o

    From the Tracker FAQ:
Given that Tracker, on your online account, doesn't seem to actually work, is there any other way of seeing these forecasts?

Has anyone actually raised this issue with them?

Octopus seem to average out the kWh used throughout the billing period but also show that we gradually reduce the amount of gas used each day.

So it's no use me thinking Tracker gas is cheap today, I'll boil this ham joint on the hob for 90 minutes/put the boiler on for an extra 30 minutes and have a nice hot bath.

It shouldn't be like that otherwise it defeats the point.

That's like having Agile and using power when the unit price is low only to find out they average it out anyway - its misleading.

    Indeed.
In addition, there doesn't seem to be any point in having smart meters if they are seemingly doing the same as they do for those without them!

No idea, but as I've had more than plenty (and often frustrating) contact with Octopus this year, perhaps I'll leave this to someone else... :)
Despite Tracker not being officially a smart tariff, I wonder if smart@octopus.energy. might be worth a try, given the supposedly more expert team there (and that the regular hello@octopus.energy seems increasingly useless, IME)?

My last email was sent to smart@

Strangely the response came from Zak who has replied previously on hello@ and his response was to say he had passed my query on to the Smart team.

Email to smart@ on 24/6, reply from Zak 30/6, nothing since (re gas smart meter going dumb since switch to Tracker on 17/6)

Looks like you are temporarily on the non-smart meter version.
As suggested previously, a DM via Twitter usually gets a support response quicker than email.

When the smart meter figures are being used, it does work as expected.

Octopus are aware of this issue with the Tracker function on the website.
