Are other companies' tariffs competitive/ better than the new octopus tracker?

Might be worth a look for lower users when April rates are known, Standing Charge 7p ish per day cheaper than Octopus in my region.

    .
  • Standing charge differential looks interesting, but I would think it difficult to compare 2 (or more) variable unit rates. And of course there is the consideration that Fuse looks like a newcomer so would not have a track record to go on. I'd be interested nonetheless to know if anyone does have experience of Fuse.

I switched onto the tracker a few days ago from flexible, my in home display is still showing I am on flexible so all the stats on the display like how much money has been spent today/this week are wrong as they are still basing my usage on 29.5p and 7.5p instead of todays tracker rates, is it meant to update to the tracker tariff at some point?

Search the forum, there is at least one thread about them.  I can't remember if anyone genuinely took the plunge though (there was one shill or wind-up merchant who got argumentative, so their posts aren't any help).

I think mine took about five days to update.
PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)

"Search" may be the operative word. And it looks like it requires you to download an app and use the program from a mobile rather than a desktop.

    Huh?  What does?
You can search the forum through your broswer.  In fact it's easier on desktop because you can see the filters such as searching a specific board, thread titles only, etc.
Fuse itself, you can get a tariff rate via browser by putting in your postcode.

Mine never did. I don't know what price it is showing, but it isn't today's Tracker price.

Most of those displays get the price from the meter.  They are not going to update the meter every day so gernally those IHDs don’t work for pricing information when you are on a daily or half hourly tariff.  He best you can hope for is that they update it with a sample price from whe you switched

I think that if you buy an IHD directly from Octopus it will get the pricing from their API
