I requested the refund via the app and I’m sure I got a message or email to say it had been approved.pfpf said:i actually requested the refund on Saturday morning and via the app, not sending an email. would they usually respond to say it has been actioned or will i just see my balance update?

Why not pay by variable D/D and save chasing them?Telegraph Sam

Maybe cut companies some slack ove Christmas and New Year with all the bank holidays and leave. I mean some people. As above change to variable full bill DD or if you are suing them as no interest holding account that's not very MSE either?4

According to my latest reading of energy-stats.uk the average Agile price for the North East for the past 90 days has been 19.9 p which compares with 18.8 p for Tracker.. Other time periods will give amended figures. There may be more to it than these bare facts - do the prices include SC's for example? - but it does represent a first step in choosing between the two tariffs. If there is a net advantage for Tracker over the medium term, together with lower volatility, then I would have little incentive to change (to Agile). Any view to the contrary (or not) welcome.Telegraph Sam

Does anyone know what Octopus's policy is on moving address and keeping the same tariff?
Am thinking in terms of the pre/post December tracker tariffs0 -
Invoicing: Do you find now that Octopus is at last quoting the opening and closing meter readings on the invoices, both from the smart meter and / or from manual readings? If so this makes the job of reconciling things much easier.Telegraph Sam

Am thinking in terms of the pre/post December tracker tariffsIf you’re moving out
Just hit the big pink button above and follow the easy steps. We'll just ask for a few details:
- The new property’s address
- The date you move out of your current home and the date you move into your new one
- Opening meter readings for your new home and closing readings for your old one
Your tariff will stay the same, and so will your Direct Debit amount. Once we have a better idea of your usage at the new property we can help you decide if your monthly payment is right.

All my Octopus bills have quoted opening and closing meter readings. Initially a mix of estimates and manual until I persuaded them to only bill once a month, then smart meter readings after that was installed last January.Telegraph_Sam said:Invoicing: Do you find now that Octopus is at last quoting the opening and closing meter readings on the invoices, both from the smart meter and / or from manual readings? How do (or did) yours present consumption without quoting meter readings.
Note I had one bill where the Tracker total kWh billed didn't match the increase in meter readings. Presumably a rounding error but only 0.1kWh.0 -
That was the smoke & mirrors. The consumption just came out of the blue, without supporting evidence! I (had to) give them the benefit of the doubt. Until I started duplicating manually as a cross-check.Qyburn said:
