You either have an end date on your tracker product or you don't. I presume the ones that don't won't have this extra to pay come the 1st anniversary but we will find out.masonic said:
Thanks, news to me, looks like they've left the wholesale multiplier alone but added about 2p onto the resultant unit rate. Hopefully they will leave existing customers alone for the time being.Shedman said:I might have missed this elsewhere in the threads but Octopus have changed the calculation (and hence effectively increased the unit rates by about 11% for elec and 8% for gas) and increased the SC for anybody joining tracker from today (11Dec). I'm hoping that existing customers on tracker for one fuel can still be switch to the same version if they switch their other fuel as I am on tracker Nov 22 v1 for gas and was hoping to move Electric over shortly.

The ones that do have an end date, again the last isn't clear as to whether you renew on the same product or have to go onto the latest tracker from past tracker users posting here.0 -
Only 2.3% jump in gas SC (so not a lot). This is of course only for new signees as I read itMultiFuelBurner said:

Have they changed the formula for existing customers before or are we into new territory here if they do?masonic said:MultiFuelBurner said:

As far as I'm aware, until today the formula has been unchanged since inception. They have varied the standing charges though, by bringing out a new version of the tariff.mmmmikey said:

There's been several tracker tariffs but I think it's just the unit rate cap that has differed but people have been grandfathered in when they've been on it alreadymasonic said:

Yes. As gas prices fall this means the gas powered units can make electric cheaper, hence they will bid into the auction at lower prices. If this cheap supply meets demand expectation then the electric price will be cheap. The electric price could still go high, seemingly going opposite to the gas price, if there is a tight market (low wind) and NG are having to accept the more expensive end of the fuel types.northernstar007 said:i'm watching natural gas prices and they have been on a slide, this has an effect on our prices i take it
and how much further will it drop2 -
