Octopus Tracker

Funny mine is the opposite. Every Tracker bill shows start and finish meter reading. On one bill these differed from the totalised usage, but only by 0.1kWh.masonic said:My (elec) Tracker bills do not show them.
...Every reading, however, is available in my online account.
And unlike you I can't find any way to see meter reading history online. The "View meter reading history" link goes to the smart meter consumption page.
Nearest is to go as if to submit a new reading, and it shows the last known previous reading. How do you get to the history?0 -
My start and finish readings are on page 2 of the bill.

Same for me both on non smart meter gas and smart meter electricity trackersGriffindog said:My start and finish readings are on page 2 of the bill.0 -
Very interesting indeed. I've got grounds for hope for when my ("first,") bill arrives. I could imagine that this would be the first thing to check if things go pear shaped.Telegraph Sam

How do you get to the history? It looks like they've recently removed this from the website (which incidentally is now horrible and each page loads really slowly for me). It's available in the app (Usage -> View meter reading history):

Has anyone "met your ambassador" as advertised? The relevant ones would seem to be Dobbiebill and Victor 2 in the section "Energy" under "Home and Mortgages". I'd be intrigued to know what these people do for forumites. It's not that obvious how to contact them. Mystery.Telegraph Sam

Could some share how the calculate the gas bill off manual readings? Let's say you've done 1 manual reading per week.
What do you think about Octoplus? Is it more for Agile people?0 -
The whole point about tracker is that you don't have to be agile with your daily energy use.0

Oh thank you- I honestly couldn't find it yesterday and have been out all day today so couldn't try again. I assume these standing charges include VAT. I knew this was the place to come rather than asking Octopus - even by phone! Thanks again.1 -
They use an industry formula to apportion your usage to each day of that time period. (Assuming by manual readings you mean, without smart meter usage data.)vivalaeric said:Could some share how the calculate the gas bill off manual readings? Let's say you've done 1 manual reading per week.

Octoplus seems to be a rewards point scheme. Worth signing up in case you can get free electricity for a session or might be able to participate in Savings Sessions. I would say people on Agile are likely to benefit less from the savings sessions this year since they already avoid the peak times, and the adjustment period won't be the same as last year.
Edit: Octoplus isn't really anything to do with Tracker so discussions about it are probably better off in the Octoplus thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6480568/octopus-octoplus-rewards-points-money-off-free-electricity1
