Is there any way to run actual usage through a site to see if tracker would be better than agile?4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.0

If you are already with Octopus and you have a decent amount of history you can do this with the Octopus compare app - it even has a "shift" feature that allows you to attempt to compare tariffs based on load shifting your history appropriately for each one. You have to mess around with the settings a bit to make it work reasonably well.Spies said:Is there any way to run actual usage through a site to see if tracker would be better than agile?
I think there might also be a web site for this but it doesn't do that shifting thing - I don't have the link sorry.1 -
Octopus Compare doesn't include Tracker in its set of tariffs.Pat38493 said:

Yes it does - I am looking at the screen now and I have set it to compare my current tariff (Agile) with Tracker. You have to download the tariff from the settings if you didn't do it from the start.masonic said:

Yes.Telegraph_Sam said:There's an Octopus Energy app listed and also an Electroverse. I assume that it's the former?Electroverse is an app for accessing and paying for EV charging on various networks.0 -
It's certainly starting to look like tracker might be becoming more competitive than agile, certainly in this past week!Pat38493 said:

Yes - I am expecting that Tracker will be better than Agile for me for the next few months, but I have not switched yet because I am not sure that I want to risk the 9 months time out if I decide to then leave tracker again if prices go really high for a long time. Still debating it in my head.Spies said:

In fact tomorrow, there is not even a single continuous hour where the agile rate is lower than the tracker rate. I think something must have happened between 10am and 4pm that pushed it up more as normally there would be more slots below tracker rate.0 -
Oh, that's a recent addition. I was previously using the app for a couple of years, but gave up on it as there was no support for Tracker. I see they've also finally fixed the bug where they'd hard coded Agile pricing from a previous version of the tariff.Pat38493 said:

I only started using it recently but there are a lot of tariffs you can select and download and often thay have various iterations of the same tariff e.g. Feb 2023, Nov 2022 or whatever.masonic said:

Yes, it was only the Tracker that was missing. Tracker pricing uses a different API endpoint and arguments than all of the other tariffs, so I guess it took the HUKD masses to popularise the tariff enough for the developer to add it.Pat38493 said:
