I use infogastracker for both gas and electricity as it has useful past data.0

Telegraph_Sam said:Looks like we are very much in the same boat. I dread to think what is awaiting me when the first elec bill comes through. What is the best way of checking the daily tracker rates in your experience? My experience has not been as bad as tlcgrantham's. No automatically generated bill since moving onto Tracker (fingers crossed for this month, billing date is tomorrow). I've asked for a manual bill to be raised on two occasions, the first was fine, but for the second, the AI sent me a bill saying it was for the full period since the last one, but containing zero charges (not even the standing charge). It took about a week for a human to intervene and do it properly.I will be a bit more relaxed about billing from now on, as I've established that my own API script is working correctly, so I can just top up my account based on what I calculate to avoid any nasty surprises.

I'd appreciate a running update from all in the same boat!Telegraph Sam

The hassle that you have reported when AI takes over reinforces the point I have been banging on about previously: The need to have period opening and closing meter readings shown clearly on the invoices. Are these shown on the latest Tracker smart metered electric invoices (when they appear)?
I think there's somewhere on the website that records manual readings but I am not sure about smart readingsTelegraph Sam

The bills for my Tracker gas do show the smart meter readings. Electricity on Flux/Agile doesn't though.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

My (elec) Tracker bills do not show them. But it wouldn't have made any difference. The readings weren't used for any of my bills in the previous 2 years and because I've asked for manually generated bills, some of the billing periods do not match my reading dates (no index reading was recorded when my last manual human generated bill was raised).Every reading, however, is available in my online account. More importantly I have a consumption total for each day. The daily consumption figures would be what I would use to cross-check in the event of an error. For me, Tracker billing is working like it did for Agile or Go Faster, and I don't have a problem with that.1
