Octopus Tracker

I have just moved onto Agile for electric and Tracker for Gas.
I will try out Agile for a month or two, but I suspect that I will find that I can only save a few pounds a month by load shifting compared to Tracker, and we'll decide it's not worth the bother and move the electric to Tracker as well.0 -
With tracker I found that I'm saving about 11p per kWh on average plus 7p per day on the SC for electric and about 2.9p per kWh and about 0.7p on the SC per day. This is working out at around £5.20 per week on the electric and gas, it's not a lot per week but over the year it's over £260.
Someone please tell me what money is1 -
Tracker continues to be good value for me too at the moment with low unit rates as well as lower standing charges. In summer I use an average of 10 kwh a day electricity and around 3 kwh a day gas so my savings are higher than yours. In Winter my use will increase, especially gas, but I don’t expect to make big savings in winter when prices may rise considerably.wild666 said:With tracker I found that I'm saving about 11p per kWh on average plus 7p per day on the SC for electric and about 2.9p per kWh and about 0.7p on the SC per day. Electric up to 21.4p in my region tomorrow which is a 3p jump on today and the highest its been since the 25th April....
Hopefully these Australian strikes get called off tomorrow.3 -
Is this tariff still available?I just logged into my Octopus dashboard, clicked Change Tariff and the only option I have it to switch to their Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed tariff, currently on the Flexible Octopus tariff.

It's still available, but Octopus only ever offers simple tariffs such as Flexible and Fixed via their change tariff page. You can access via: https://octopus.energy/smart/tracker/ChukkleOdeon said:Is this tariff still available?I just logged into my Octopus dashboard, clicked Change Tariff and the only option I have it to switch to their Loyal Octopus 12M Fixed tariff, currently on the Flexible Octopus tariff.

I use Octopus agile for my electricity. My bill for the last two months June and July 2023 my cost has been 9p and 8.5p Per KWH respectively. I check the costs per day and adjust my usage to use electricity at the cheapest time of day. the tariff is displayed daily and shows a rate for every half hour period. avoid where possible using electricity between 5 and 7 pm as these prices are considerably higher than the standard variable rate.1

Anyone considered a comparison with Fuse?0
-
My key comparison of Octopus with Fuse would 'which of these is more likely to go bust in the next 18 months'.3
-
I don’t know the rates Fuse offer but if it’s any help comparing, over the last 12 months Gas tracker average is 5.87pkwh and Electric tracker 23.04pkwh.0
