My smart electric meter has stopped sending readings again (it's done this sporadically ever since being adopted onto DCC, sometimes just for a few days, other times for a few weeks), so I've been submitting meter readings as often as I can, though they keep generating a new bill every time. Is it worth submitting readings daily, or should I just go for weekly, until such times as it (hopefully) starts working properly again?0

Are you actually load shifting, and would therefore benefit from daily readings? If not, and FWIW, not having a smart meter, I supply monthly readings, and it has been fine (in terms of their apportioning etc.).mac.d said:My smart electric meter has stopped sending readings again (it's done this sporadically ever since being adopted onto DCC, sometimes just for a few days, other times for a few weeks), so I've been submitting meter readings as often as I can, though they keep generating a new bill every time. Will the new increased Energy Price Guarantee apply to Tracker and Agile Tariffs from July 1st? If so would it effectively cap Gas about 12p/kWh and Electricity around 40p/kWh.?0

I think in effect that's true, but they've given the wrong explanation.bristolleedsfan said:

The EPG is still there, but the maximum allowable discount is 0p, so it won't have any effect.2 -

It's by no means certain that prices will rocket, things can change very quickly in either direction. If you're not a gambler by nature and/or would find yourself in financial difficulty if prices go up substantially for a prolonged period Tracker probably isn't a good option and you may be better off considering a fix instead.
