Thanks Russia! Prices are going to rocket again now 😡
Not just Russia, but the Middle Eastern oil producing states.

It's by no means certain that prices will rocket, things can change very quickly in either direction. If you're not a gambler by nature and/or would find yourself in financial difficulty if prices go up substantially for a prolonged period Tracker probably isn't a good option and you may be better off considering a fix instead.
Of course, if prices do increase then the fixes will disappear quickly and all the variable tariffs do is delay the inevitable unless the Government brings back price caps on unit rates. It will be a case of whether you want to be in financial difficulty now or in three months time.

Funny they stated the reason as stabilising the market, the oil price is nowhere near historical lows, greed is greed end of day.

Will have to wait and see what happens, but realistically tracker was never going to stay low forever, its been low in the past then high then low again.

I had an email yesterday about a Community Switch, so the landscape seems to be changing. Doubt it will I interest me, but could mean offers to renewers may change....?

I had one on Tuesday - Hampshire CC.  Likewise I registered but not expecting a great deal when the tariffs are announced.

Is there anywhere I can compare the difference with OE Agile vs my current EDF std variable rate? I'm now able to switch away from EDF as the account isn't in debt anymore and OE have been on my watch list since Nov-Dec.

I'm just keen to see if there's a comparision tool I use to do a side by side.

I've just checked our smart meter as well, and it looks like it's not one the models made by Secure that OE require. It's an Itron SMETS2 meter so I'm not sure if OE will require that to be changed.

The simplest option I know if, if you're on a PC rather than a phone/tablet, is to go to Energy Stats:
... scroll down to the charts, then hover your mouse over the chart at a level that is equivalent to your EDF variable rate (32p/kWh, for example).
You'll get a pecked line running across the chart.
You can then see when during the day Agile is cheaper than the SVR, and when it's more expensive.
