No, its calculated differently, it works out cheaper atm but has a higher cap.[Deleted User] said:
Is it not irrelevant? The only thing that changes is the Octopus-imposed Cap. I am not sure where the 1.28p/kWh figure has come from.wakeupalarm said:bristolleedsfan said:Gas Unit rate:1.28 p/kWh Octopus Tracker October 2022 v1
Did anyone manage to switch to this version?0 -
I think they are applying EPG discount to it albeit with minimum floor level.[Deleted User] said:

In month 1, I appear to have saved a small fortune on Tracker - without a smart meter and without really even trying.
It's cost me about £70 for the month, less the government £66 = £4.
I may (or may not) have slightly massaged the figures when switching over from my cheaper fix last year, but only by a very tiny amount. I'm aware we could all now have a terrible month but so far, this is epic - it's the same price as my fix deal from over a year ago.
How is this not MASSIVE? Yes it's a gamble, but a gamble with a way out with just a phone call to switch to SVR... madness really.1 -
My October bill (gas and electric) was £139. EPG would have been £230.

For me, today's electricity UR is 30.54p/kWh, but down again tomorrow @ 24.07p/kWh.As of tomorrow, worst case scenario for average daily UR across the month would be 24.92p/kWh, so well below EPG SVT (33.07p/kWh), with 7 days of the month to go...0
