That's good to hear! I haven't had my email yet, but I'm on 11p gas Tracker so I'm not expecting much of a change ...The email talks about the “dynamic unit rate”. Are we sure that the existing Tracker caps still apply?0

Why wouldn't they? Dynamic unit rate just reflects that it changes daily.ChaunceyGardiner said:That's good to hear! I realise that. But the Tracker cap is voluntary. The email could be interpreted to mean that the EPG rebate replaces, rather than augments it.0 -
I still can't see anything in the parts of the email that have been quoted that suggests that the cap will no longer apply.ChaunceyGardiner said:

Anyone heard if the same logic would apply for the Gas Tracker? I'm on Go for electric and had the email last night, and he 16p tracker for gas but haven't had anything for that.0

Yeh, I think the email doesn't do a good job at explaining this. You can definitely read it both ways...Umiamz said:

Following the latest Tracker updates from Greg @ Octopus today, the choice to stay on Tracker or move to SVT will depend on expectations wrt dynamic rates going above 52p for E. If expectations are higher/for longer, then the SVT's absolute cap seems a safer bet. Likewise, the gas switching threshold becomes 14 5p.
Equally, on days where dynamic rate is below the SVT, then the Tracker is better.0 -
I'm the same (Go + Tracker 16p for gas) and I'm awaiting my Tracker email as well.DeeQS said:Anyone heard if the same logic would apply for the Gas Tracker? I'm on Go for electric and had the email last night, and he 16p tracker for gas but haven't had anything for that.
My interpretation of what's been posted, so far, for Tracker gas, for the 16p cap, is:- When the gas price is above 14.5p up to the 16p cap, it will be reduced by 4.2p (i.e. it will be no more than 11.8p).
- When the gas price is above 10.3p up to 14.5p, it will be reduced to the government cap of 10.3p.
- When the gas price is below 10.3p, it will be at the actual price (as now).

If the caps no longer applied then surely Octopus would need to specifically say so according to 10.4 of their terms and conditions:ChaunceyGardiner said:
