So, who's waiting for the new threads to start asking "is it fair that people on tracker get more/different discount than me"??0

Maybe, but the alternative is they pay more anyway towards paying this subsidy back so those who either dont need subsidy or less of it benefits anyone who is a taxpayer.Deleted_User said:So, who's waiting for the new threads to start asking "is it fair that people on tracker get more/different discount than me"??0 -
As I understand it the 17p and 4p discounts are based on the difference between the EPG and the original ofgem calculated cap for october. Does this mean that come january when the ofgem cap will rise again, the discounts will increase to cover this, and therefore those of us on trackers with a higher or marginal cap (I'm on gas 16p which is just above the 14.5p switching level) should consider staying on this to see what happens in january so 3 months of potentially paying 1p more per unit on expensive days while benefitting on cheap days, and then in january moving to the capped level on expensive days and still benefitting on cheap days.0

Tomorrow will be cheap energy (ironic), does anyone know if the forecast is similar for the whole weekend? Obviously we'll try to make use of it by load shifting e.g. washing from Sunday to Saturday, but if it's likely to be cheap both days that would be very useful. Won't find out for certain until 9am tomorrow.0 -
Just programmed lots of things to come on and stay on between 02:30 and 5:30

If you budgeted for paying 16p/kWh all winter, staying on the tariff might be a sensible hedge (not least because you'll benefit from days like today where the price is below the EPG cap).
It's forecast to remain windy all weekend, but it probably won't remain quite as cheap into Sunday. I wouldn't want to rely on two consecutive days of Agile plunge pricing, for example.Spoonie_Turtle said:Tomorrow will be cheap energy (ironic), does anyone know if the forecast is similar for the whole weekend?
