Octopus Tracker

"that results in higher charges". A lot of room there to say that because of the discount elsewhere, your 'charges' overall will not be higher.fryedslyce said:
If the caps no longer applied then surely Octopus would need to specifically say so according to 10.4 of their terms and conditions:ChaunceyGardiner said:
I realise that. But the Tracker cap is voluntary. The email could be interpreted to mean that the EPG rebate replaces, rather than augments it.
"If we propose to make changes to your Contract that are not to your advantage (including increasing charges or changes to a Time of Use Tariff formula that results in higher charges) we will give you reasonable notice of the changes. If you do not agree with the changes, you can switch to another supplier or end this Contract and start a new Contract with us without penalty."1 -
AFAIK, Tracker UR caps are voluntarily applied by Octopus, they do not form part of the contract?

Once they've been applied, they automatically form part of the contract.SJMALBA said:AFAIK, Tracker UR caps are voluntarily applied by Octopus, they do not form part of the contract?1 -
Confirmed on Twitter that your original cap still applies too:

"the EPG discount is in addition to your Octopus cap (we won't change your cap during your fixed term). So yes, if your cap is currently 35p, you've now essentially got a 34p cap🎉"4 -

I just got a similar reply, although I'm on a later version of Tracker. Good news.razord said:

Seriously, though, good outcome for Tracker customers!

Government will be saving money, prices are still not bad going.
Dipped to 21p today on electric and daily rate is exactly 8p for gas.0 -
Congrats, you on the god tier Agile.SuperHans1 said:This week I've had a complaint with Octopus resolved and they have moved me to the Agile Octopus Feb 2018 tariff;
They have offered to backdate this tariff to when my complaint was opened in July. What are the current thoughts on the 12 month term for this tariff? Do people think that Octopus will immediately increase the cap on this tariff once the 12 months are up?0 -
Wow, this was the absolute best outcome they I could imagine, but I didn't expect it would happen! Sitting tight was the right thing to do - phew! With a cap of 55p that essentially means it's capped at 37p, with the potential to dip under (which it has been doing recently), excellent!
Lots of exclamation marks there, but after the Twitter replies about Tracker yesterday I wasn't actually expecting to hear today either, and then to get the best case scenario … I am seriously chuffed. What a relief, too.2
