And read the thread about VCS losing in court , by Bargepole , where. Mr Ferguson actually used the British gas Vs Ferguson argument to win compensation for 5.5 years of harassment , see what the judge said about it , because he told everyone who harassed him about no liability , the transcript is a good readspencer999 said:got second letter from solicitor giving us til a date in August, then "your account will progress to a letter of claim on expiry", does that even make sense?
Then they say "our client will take legal action to recovery (sic) the sum due"
I suppose I should send them the screenshots to show that we paid on the app? They presumably aren't stupid and will realise they aren't going to win?3 -
sent screenshots to the solicitor and they have responded asking for name, address (fair enough) but phone number as well, which I don't feel like giving to them. I don't have to do I?0

Phone number not necessary. But if you want to fill in the box for completeness, why not give them Debt Recovery Plus' number, or ParkingEye's, or that of your local police station, how about Whipsnade Zoo - let your imagination transport you .... 😊
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Or, OP, you could use: their ATA's head office number or that of the MHCLG (0303 444 0000).

You could use a fake 'phone number reserved specifically for use in films or TV programmes,
Fake Number Ranges: Here are the numbers reserved exclusively for TV & Radio shows | Number Supermarket
or, if you're filling in an online form where a phone number is mandatory, give 0333-8888888. This takes callers to a recorded message telling them to contact you by email.

here's a good one. Checking the screenshots, I accidentally paid for a different car park within the NCP empire, a mile or two away from the one I did actually park in. Coupled with that I failed to notify DVLA of an address change so only got the PCN about 4 months later. Looks like I'm in the brown0

No, it doesn't. What you describe happens a lot.
I really hope you have done the Government Consultation by email and objected absolutely to ANY debt recovery fake 'costs' being added on top of a parking charge (of course) and told them what you think of them increasing charges to £130 instead of £100...which is already extortionate.
You have 6 days to do the consultation. Please, please, do and do it by email so you attach evidence. Spread the word, is closes within days, next week!
Also, I hope you've also registered for the Group Action, against the DVLA (open to anyone with a PCN since 2018?). Gotta be in it to win it! Nothing to lose, and it's genuine.
Read the threads about those important matters, they both need doing, right now, this week.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Coupon thank you, I am hyper stressed out with other matters, and words are swimming on the screen, I don't suppose you could help a chap out with some links to these things, I would be extremely grateful - the total charge went from zero to £160 overnight, but holding steady at that level for now...Coupon-mad said:No, it doesn't.
