Good morning and happy Friday 😁☕️
There was lots of aurora around last night, my Facebook feed is flooded with it 😁 I was too lazy to go out out by myself in the dark, but could see it faintly from the garden. The scales quite frankly need smashing with a hammer 😅 I am the same as yesterday, which is still 1 whole pound more than I was this time last week! There is only so much starvation I can take, but I will keep plodding. I’m averaging 4lbs a month 🙄 That gives me another 4 and a half months to get where my first target is. This should be a big, big lesson for me to not slip back this far ever again. I can hear my dad saying ‘that’ll teach you’ (note: it rarely did 🤭). I’m a big believer in learning the hard way several times before it sticks…sigh!I’ve had an eat natural bar for breakfast…they are very high in calories (249 in this one), but I hope nuts and fruit will help with something! It’s all accounted for, although I do scrabble around in the evening trying to feed myself within ‘whatever amount is left’ 😖
I hope you all have a fabulous Friday full of good things ☕️🌟😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

From personal experience you need to start introducing exercise into your day, even a little will help, drink more water and make sure you’re not spending your calories on things with little or no nutritional value. Cereal bars are very high in sugar, you would’ve been better having a handful of nuts and some fresh fruit. Could you start making a few small tweaks to help speed it up a bit?I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Very good advice @Sun_Addict thank you. I have started drinking more water and do circuits of the garden while dog sniffs, digs and rolls. I do miss being able to walk her properly, but she’s not up to it now. By the time we’ve messed around in the garden I wouldn’t have time for a real walk before getting back to work. My circuits of the back garden have left a circular trail over the months, like a small pit ponies 🤭 I do worry more about the calories than the content as I have a sweet tooth, so I’d rather have less than get fed up and break. If I’d had 3 months of not a single biscuit or bit of chocolate then I would have given in. I don’t often go over the sugar on the tracker, but carbs are always very high. I think you’re right and I need to try tweaking a few things. I wish I could like bad things less! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Small steps you’ll get there it just might take a while - Rome wasn’t built in a day. I can highly recommend Get Fit with Rick on YouTube, his walking workouts start from just 10 minutes although he does love the sound of his own voice 😆 Also have a listen to the podcast the Secret World of Slimming Clubs where the presenters are struggling with their weight and trying different diets, it’s absolutely hilarious. They are all from my neck of the woods too.Stay strong 💪I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

@WinterWarrior I find leaving a minimum 12 hrs between dinner one night and breakfast the next morning helps me lose weight. Agree with @Sun_Addict that exercise helps too. I feel your pain re the scales; will you have at it with a claw hammer or just a plain one if it remains necessary, which I don't think it will. Keep going love Humdinger xx3

@WinterWarrior.....& another thing to remember is that all calories are not created equal in terms of the effect they have on your body. Sugary foods & processed carbohydrate will trigger a bigger insulin response than a slow-release complex carbohydrate or protein. Insulin is a fat-storing hormone. If you are not currently moving sufficiently to need that energy & your glycogen stores are full, that sweet meal or snack will be laid down on your body as fat. So 300 calories from chocolate, biscuits or other processed sweet snacks will sabotage your weight loss efforts more than 300 calories from a handful of nuts & an apple, a couple of oatcakes with a little peanut butter or half a smallish avocado. And another thing I'm reminding myself of frequently now I'm back on the weight-loss waggon is that the more snacks I have (I'm a naughty picker!), the more often I'm triggering that insulin response & giving it another opportunity to push a bit more fat in the direction of my overly curvy mid-section!
You can tell Weigh-day is hoving into view here, can't you?!

Good morning and happy Saturday ☕️☕️ thank you for all of your tips.
I have stayed the same for 3 mornings now and am still 0.9 more than I was last Saturday 😖 I think because I don’t have much to lose in the grand scheme of things and have only 1200 calories a day it doesn’t give my body much wiggle room. My week days are pretty much work and bed, with a quick high powered March around dogs diggy garden once or twice. I do need to put more effort in now to get things moving. Oddly some of my better losses have been after meals out, where I’ve more or less stuck with the calories, but have eaten worse things at lunch and then a tiny something for tea…so that would fit with the time window idea. On average there is normally an 11 hour window between my last coffee and my breakfast anyway. As I’m usually done by 9pm and have my coffee and something at my desk at 8am. I’ll try and stretch that by an hour. Perhaps I should try having more calories at lunch and less at teatime (northern I am 🤭) although that wouldn’t sit well with MrWW and would also be a pain if he wanted me cooking in the middle of my work day (he’s not one for taking a turn 🙄). I had a nakd bar for breakfast as I have them in…all it is is cold pressed dates and cashews at about 135 cals off the top of my head. No additives.I’m not sure what today will bring as MrWW is off night shift, so may want to do something when he wakes, but might not. I will most definitely have a walk though as the sun is shining and I am FAT 🤣

Well I managed over 7k steps yesterday and went down 0.3. Still not where I was last week, but better! So today I am aiming for the same, but it’s proving tricky. We went out for lunch and then to L*dl and then I did many, many circuits of the diggy garden while dog played…but that has left me on 4500 ish, so I will need to escape minus dog to get a few more in before tea. We had a bit of snow this morning and it’s very crisp out there.I ended up spending yesterday on 3 posh eggs sending to my family, but MrWW kindly paid more than half 😁 I hadn’t realised quite how close Easter is, until we received some gifts in the post yesterday and I panicked 😅

Good morning and happy Monday 😢☕️
we have a very thin smattering of snow this morning, spring has not got the memo! Although some daffs are out, so maybe it’s just mixed messages 😁
I finally got my 12lb badge back this morning…phew. I did 7k steps again yesterday, so that has clearly helped. I will have a lot more difficulty getting that today with being chained to my desk, but I’ll try my best. I’d love to break the stone barrier.I am hoping not to spend anything more until Friday when I get paid. Despite the big car bill and thanks to the car pot I will be ending the month £635 up. I still need to find out how much the other car issue they found will cost, but I have time to save up a bit. Next month I will need oil and have several birthdays, the month after is a big birthday, I’m hoping June will be a good savings month, but then the month after is mot, car repair, servicing, insurance and all that malarkey. It’s good to see a long term plan of the year, but equally painful when you can see all the expenses coming up. I do have the car pot, but it’s only got a few hundred in at the moment. I could have pots for oil and birthdays, but I quite like being able to save more on the off months and just take it from the months pay as and when.
I hope you all have a fabulous Monday ☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Monday to you too. 💐 The HT and I went for a drive yesterday (it's like your dog drive but imagine your dog having terrible taste in music and insisting on playing it). As we drove through the more affluent areas there were hundreds of daffodils in the verges at the side of the road. I kid you not they were at least ten deep and stretched quite a way. Once we were back on more familiar territory there were just a few tatty dandelions by the lamp posts. Fair play though, the dandelions are important to bees until the gardens are properly in flower.
I'm trying not to think about July myself - child benefit etc stops but I will still have the HT who doesn't have a job.....he's contemplating university, I'm contemplating living in the dark with the heating off and eating dry bread 🙄5
