  • Happy Saturday ☕️ Sadly I was 0.1 away from the 7lbs this morning, sigh. Maybe tomorrow!
MrWW is working tonight so we haven’t been anywhere. I’ve chopped and dragged a few branches around in the garden while dog did some illegal digging in the middle of the back lawn 😅. We watched a film on Prime. I can’t remember the name of it, but it has J-Lo in it and was light and entertaining.
I’m sitting quietly now until MrWW gets up, I should be cleaning, but all I’ve managed is washing and cooking today.
I ordered some new walking boots with the money, which I need (as the cheaper ones I got in a cost saving moment rub my toenail so bad it’s bruised underneath the nail. That will teach me not to stick with the good make I had before!). I’ve also ordered some command strips to hang my new mirror as MrWW was muttering about drills and cavity wall fixings, which seems way too much effort for something I can merrily do myself while unsupervised (and un-judged 🤭). I have also ordered some cheap (and lightweight) wrist weights on a whim, as I saw the Home Edit lady using some while on her keyboard as a cheats exercise thing and it blew my little mind! Wow! If it helps tone my sad arms while working that would be amazing! I used to have a lot of muscle from holding dog back on her daily gallops, but sadly no more galloping for her or exercise for me.
I hope you are all enjoying your Saturdays ☕️🌟

  • I find walking boots one of the hardest things to buy as I never can tell till I've done ten miles in them by which times it it too late to send them back. I currently have three ok for shorter walk pairs, but none of them are quite right.  Hope yours fit like gloves, and feel like slippers.

That’s so true! My old ones are Merrell’s and I wear them in the garden with dog, but they are years old and pretty destroyed. I replaced them with mountain warehouse, which were much cheaper, but really hurt my big toe (just the one) after a while. They don’t make the exact same style, but I’m hoping as they are the same make and size they will be as lovely as the last ones. I’ve had other good ones over the years, but also plenty of duds. The same goes for trainers, what feel perfect in the house can be agony after half an hour!

  • 🎺 🥁 Just eked into the 7lb loss this morning 🥳 Probably a combination of a later weigh in and starvation 😅
I called into town for some bits (when did a few bits start to cost over £30?). I did get a small free range chicken so I can do a roast for MrWW. I shall have chicken salad and a few roast potatoes 😇…. You may call me St WW 🤭
I will try to get some steps in today. It’s a nice day here, bright and sunny and chilly.

You’re doing well WW. I lost 1 lb on Friday so I’m back to where I was before I pigged out at ds birthday…..I have however been away for the weekend so hoping I’ve not put it back on again🙄
I used to buy Next vouchers every week and I treated myself when I got to target - that was a good while ago now though and I have gone from having 2 next stores in town to a big fat ZERO. I know you’re very remote so not sure if it’d be feasible.

  • @milann it’s slow going isn’t it! The birthday was a good reason though.
I used to love next a bit too much. No stores here, but I’d get carried away with their online sales and would spend hundreds each time. I made myself stop doing that, so they got fed up of me not ordering anything and closed the account. In the end it annoyed me that I couldn’t order and pay straight away, so now I buy elsewhere (and not the piles of sales tat I don’t need). SA suggested saving my gifted money for when I’m the right weight and your idea of saving towards that goal is a good one too. Probably best not to save actual bank notes though as they might be out of circulation before I get there 😅
