Morning @Deni_debt-free_dreamer. I don’t know why I find weighing out oats such a bother, I could even microwave them, but somehow it’s just too much. When I lost a fair amount of weight before we had a treat day every Saturday and still lost. Obviously not tons of stuff, but a lunch out with chips and still managed to lose. I used to also have Freddo frogs and small things so I could have something sweet every day. I think less of a good thing is almost as good as completely cutting it out. If you can be good in the week you are still winning.
I’ll report back on the Santa sacks when I’ve attempted them…I have high hopes, but they could end up giving Santa a laugh 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

hi again
I've just been laughing at twochubbycubs Fb page !!
Hopefully your good efforts can encourage me. My treats at the weekend start on Friday eve & last upto Sunday eve so that's 3 days which is nearly half the week, oops!
My weakness, as i've mentioned on here, is cheese - I eat it nearly every day. I'd rather have cheese than chocolate, I'd rather have crisps than chocoloate; I do love biscuits though! Now i'm thinking about biscuits....
I'm not creative but I did upcycle a bookcase, with my friend's help and supervision, and I have another piece of furniture to start soon.
Have a good day !LBM - October 2018; finally debt free on 16 March 2021

Oats are great, when I have them in the morning I can go a long time until I get hungry for lunch. I do mine in the microwave and add a ripe banana and some nuts/seeds.
I was thinking to make some Santa bags to sell at the school fair, what size are you making yours?
Edit to add: even a few better choices are better than all bad ones I think. I tend to have an all-or-nothing mentality, not just with food, even with crafts. I have to do everything right, what's the point otherwise? Working really hard to change that 😬01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

WW I’ll give you a kick up the behind if you give me one. I’m with you trying to get more oats 😉 I had an ultimatum from my GP this week…..get my cholesterol down or go on statins. I really don’t want to do that. I vaguely remembered a Michael Mosley programme from a few years ago. He did trials of getting cholesterol down and oats was one of the best foods. I tried to find the programme yesterday and couldn’t find it but found the literature about it. I’m going to give it a go combined with SlimmingWorld. I’ve got 2 stone to loose too.January spends - £587.582

@milann are those cholesterol reducing daily yoghurt drinks any good? Shall we have a weigh in next Saturday and see how we both do?
@jokono I was thinking Santa sacks, so like pillowcase sized or a bit bigger. To put lots of wrapped presents in, rather than individual presents. I googled and there are quite a few tutorials out there. There’s a nice one on the Hobbycraft site which I may use as a guide. I think they could be as simpler or as fancy as you liked. For a school fair I guess you’d want them simple or making a lot would take up a lot of time. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

@Deni_debt-free_dreamer I upcycled a bookcase and the bottom of an old dresser with Annie stone chalk paint, it was good fun. What are you doing next? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning and happy Monday ☕️📚
The box sounds lovely @Deni_debt-free_dreamer.
I hope you all had a good weekend.I was happy with the leaver on strictly, he wasn’t the worst, but would have been leaving fairly soon anyway. I do laugh at how contrary Shirley is, I think she says she’d vote the other way just to be awkward.
I made a shepherds pie yesterday…officially on winter food now. It had plenty of carrots, peas and onion in with the mince, so I can count it as healthy. There a good portion left over, which MrWW will have for dinner. Today I will be starting my porridge for breakfast and dinner and then a sensible tea routine…see how it goes. One of my bags sold on the lowest bid, after fees and postage it’s not a massive amount, but still money for something sitting in a cupboard gathering dust. I need to do more of this! I did find out that anything you put on the bay on a deal doesn’t keep the deal after it rolls over. It was on a £1 selling fee, but rolled to the next week, so when I checked the fees were up at about 10% plus vat. I guess it means if there’s a new deal you would have to take it down and relist it to keep the fees down, which is a bit of a palaver.
I hope you all have a lovely day and work treats you kindly 📚☕️☕️☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
