  • Happy Saturday everyone.
sadly @nannygladys no windfall, just a broken dishwasher and then I got carried away…I have let MSE land down! I will still be up at the end of the month, which is amazing, but probably about £200 rather than the £900 it should have been without treats and repairs. It just makes me so thankful I am out the other side of debt repayments, excluding mortgage, as it means a bad month is not a disaster (and I have nice things to show for it that are fully paid up).
Anyhow, todays good news…I don’t know if you remember some time ago I was lamenting the missing frozen cream buns for l*dl which I thought were on Spanish week. Some of you suggested French week and that was a no go too. Today we called in (on USA week) and found leftover Spanish week cream buns in the freezer bit…hurrah! They aren’t strictly cream, they are creme Catalan (or something like that). Come in boxes of 4 small elephants feet type filled pastries. We got 2 boxes…how fab to have a small freezer stock that won’t go out of date like fresh might.
I have been doing the porridge pots and a sensible tea all week and have lost 1 whole pound. Could be a lot better, but could be worse. I’ve had a day off today (with a bun and a gin on the horizon for strictly) and will be back to it tomorrow.
You make a good point @b@badmemory, doctors aren’t always the trustworthy bunch we’d like them to be (or even accessible!), but I guess there’s no harm in anyone trying to reduce their cholesterol just in case. I’m behind anything diet related, but have a fear of long term medication, so I’d be tempted to double check anything like that like your sister did. My sister got overdosed by her doctor, causing a lifetime of issues, so it does happen. We forget they aren’t infallible sometimes 😕
I hope you are all having a fab-u-lous day (warming up for strictly here) 🕺🏻💃🏻🥂

Happy weekend :)  Who are you rooting for in Strictly?  I like Jayde at the moment, it's nice seeing big girls  represented.

Do you really need two coats?  Could you send one back?

I don’t even need one if I’m honest! But I’ll love them if they fit nicely 😁
Jayde does amazingly. I think Helen and Tyler are my favourites.

I voted for Jayde, Helen and Tyler last night.  Helen and Tyler were the kids choices, they loved them.

  • I went for Fleur, Hamza and Helen this week. Tyler will get through no problem, but  Helen needs help this week. Hamza did amazingly. I’ve no idea why the football guy is still in 🤣
Today will be driving miss doggy and baking pasties. I’m not sure I’ll fit in much else, Sundays go so quickly 😖
I hope you all have a fabulous day filled with all the good things you deserve ☕️📚⭐️

There were some really good dances last night. I haven’t really settled on a favourite yet but I like Fleur, I liked her when she was on the X Factor but there are other really good ones too. Decisions decisions 😆

    Enjoy your Sunday.

I’m not sure what the football guy is still I. Strictly for. I missed the results show tonight and didn’t see who went out.  There are quite a few I like….I was disappointed with Will Mellor this week. He used to live next to a girl I worked with and I saw him several times just as he was finding fame….a normal lad from an ordinary family…..I had been watching him closely- hopefully he’s still in and will get over his cold and be back on full form next week.

The football guy is obviously the comedy one we can’t remove for this year…there’s always one. Matt went this time, just as he was improving, but he wouldn’t have won so it was fair enough. Will really suffered this week, so I hope he’s better next week, I like Will, but I got a thought that he looked like a young Bernard Cribbins with his grey stubble and now I can’t unsee it 🤣
Work today and nothing much else planned.
I hope you all have a lovely day 📚☕️⭐️

  • Happy hump day WW!
Have your jackets arrived? I have just returned a dress to lan-send, it was the same style and size as another one i own but a different colour and fabric - it was far too big though! It's weird sizing not me shrinking :( Nevermind.
hope you have a good day

  • Happy Wednesday everyone.
sadly not @Deni_debt-free_dreamer. Something else ordered the day after for MrWW managed to turn up via evri, but not my coats. The tracker says they have them…but sadly I don’t. I do hope they aren’t gargantuan. I fell into the bottom end of a 2 size sizing, which is always a bit worrying. I want room for a jumper, but not room to smuggle an extra person! I would like 12-14, but instead it went 10-12 or 14-16. I went bigger as 10-12 would struggle to fit a jumper (and possibly my stomach in). 😖 Why is nothing simple…and why do same sizes from same shops differ so much?
At least I can report that I haven’t spent anything all week and I’m still ploughing through the porridge 😁
