We have a hot water tap. I thought it was gimmicky, but MrWW wanted one when the kitchen was done (about 5 yrs ago I think) and I wouldn’t be without one now. They are so handy! 

The ninja is unpacked and in place, but not used yet!

So today I made a (reduced price free range) roast chicken in one drawer and roast potatoes in the other! The potatoes didn’t need parboiling and were done in 30 mins! I’m very pleased with it!

That sounds good.  I am still waiting for my ninja grill.  Think I may have a go at dehydrating some apples this week, will let you know how it goes.  Have a good week x

I air fry my roast potatoes in the dual and they only take around 15 minutes without par boiling. It makes amazing potato wedges too. I do tend to air fry everything 🤣

I air fried the chicken, but did the potatoes on roast. I’ll try air fry those next time @Sun_Addict.
@Four_Seasons I just can’t get to grips with dehydration, everything ends up chewy!

I dehydrated strawberries in mine - most sour strawberries ever ! 

Am looking out for reduced beef to make beef jerky …..

I too have a boiling water tap, I love it - so convenient

I tried strawberries yesterday as I thought they might be more successful, they ended up sour, bendy and shrunken. I just don’t get it 😢 Rather than preserve food I’m just destroying it 😖

I saw on FB someone coated them with sugar first, I was ‘I’m not doing that they are sweet’ however I stand corrected !

We had a planned power outage yesterday as some work was happening‘somewhere’. It was supposed to be any time between 8 and 5.30, but was actually from 8,30 until 10pm! I had booked the day off work in case it was a few hours I couldn’t justify, so I’m thankful for that, but boy is life hard and boring without power! It was a horrid day…and I like to read a lot, but without a coffee and internet and the ability to make a decent meal or potter about doing stuff, it wasn’t a fun day. 

Although I doubt work will be any more fun today 🤣

Oh no, pressed a wrong button and wiped my post!!
Anyway I put that I hope you have solved your sluggy problem I get the odd wood louse but luckily no slugs, and that I will have a look and drool over your pooli printer and keep the bank account in tact!
Bit rough being without power that long, fingers crossed it not going to be a regular thing. 
My middle dd has just acquired a jet black kitten that nobody wanted, she has three elderly lady cats and says they are mainly keeping him in place (teaching him the ropes she hopes!). She lives abroad and they don't seem to value pets like we do, but it will be spoilt living there as her husband and my dgs love cats. 
Take care and don't work too hard.
