Good afternoon and happy Sunday. Today we went all the way to pets at home and they didn’t have any wood pellet cat litter, not one bag! We go there to buy the big bags in bulk. Apparently there are manufacturing issues. So we will have to see what we can find online 😖
Anyhow, while there we called at farm foods, it’s relatively new and the only one in the county I think! So we stocked up on frozen food and I am currently making a fakaway of chicken burgers and thin chips. The chicken fillets look pretty good for the price so I’m keeping everything crossed that they taste good.
I hope everyone is having a lovely day. It’s warm here, but overcast and you can’t see the sea for the rolling fog. It’s just ripe for a horror movie 😅

  • I’ve  had issues getting the wood pellet cat litter from pets at home a few times.  Last time I tried there was another make so I thought I’d get that instead. It was £29.95!!! Needless to say it didn’t come home with me. Luckily we’ve got more than one store quite close and within a week I managed to get some from another store.  Hope the fakeaway is nice xx

Hope the chicken is good, I find a 30 minutes sit in some plain youghurt really helps to tenderise.

If it is any consolation we also have slug in the kitchen problems, and no idea how they get in.  Our house is lime mortared stone so probably a thousand routes in.  Signposted by the mice, etc.  'Follow me, come this way, much food, all welcome, watch out for the cats'

I’ve been getting wood pellet cat litter from Mr M but they don’t always have it in stock. Thankfully as the weather is so hot the kitten is doing her business outside and the older cat doesn’t use it.

We don’t have a MrM sadly. We changed to wood pellets when MrT had supply issues with their basic litter and it took a while to get them used to the change, so I don’t want to have to change again.
The chicken was Route 66 southern fried coated chicken fillets and they were very nice with Mayo and lettuce in seeded buns.
@redofromstart our mice used to play football in the loft, but fingers crossed have stopped coming in since we put mesh over the air bricks!

There are a few farmfood shops in my area. Did visit them years ago but not been for ages. There is a Heron food shop in the town next to us, seems to have a lot of good bargains. Don’t know if this shop is nationwide or just local to this part of the country.xx

  • We buy wood pellets (A*da own brand) and they’re 4.99 for 10kg - not as cheap as the one you can buy in P @ H but our kitty is happy with them. X

It’s the first time we’ve been. Some things seemed dearer than L*dl at first glance, but when we worked out per serving they were cheaper. We only get chicken items made with fillets, rather than formed so that boosts the price a little, but is definitely worth the difference. You couldn’t do a complete shop as they don’t have some fresh items, but we’ll definitely go for big freezer stock ups every now and again. We don’t have an A*da here either sadly….do they still do cherry muffins? I used to love those! And MrM was my go to for their made up pizza’s and the green marzipan bomb cream cakes! I’ve not heard of Heron shops.

The dishwasher broke last night 😢 it’s always something! MrWW is trying to mend it….there’s a lot of shouting and cursing, like he’s fighting a bear or something, so it doesn’t sound good! Luckily I am working, so keeping a veerrryyy low profile in my office! I have a feeling it may be cheaper to replace than repair, the way repair people charge 😕 my hard earned savings are trembling right now 😢
I hope you all a wonderful day filled with working appliances 😅
