I agree @nannygladys. If they over estimated and then charged a bit less it would be better! I think I had a premonition as I moved extra money to my current account so I was able to pay without the palaver. Normally I run it quite low.

Good morning and happy Thursday 📚☕️🍫
I may have accidentally bought a poooli mini printer last night 🙄 I’ve been looking at them for months, but I think I got that dreaded ‘I’ve had to spend so much, a bit more won’t hurt’ feeling 😤 What a twerp I am, but it’s done now and I’ll really enjoy using it for my journal and craft things. All finances are rejigged and if I stay on the straight and narrow for the rest of the month I will still be up on savings. I’ll need to start building the pots back up though as they’ve taken a hammering over the last 2 months. As penance for the extra spending I also sent £5 to the mortgage overpayment 😅
I am still calorie counting, but the scales haven’t got the message yet!

I guess I’m not known for my self control 😬 I was pulled into it being inkless, mini stickers, sticker b&w photos from your phone… I was sold 😅 I’ve been doing junk journaling and always pin receipts in, so photos too would be fun. Not on the boring days obviously….here’s a pic of me crying on the scales isn’t the vibe I’m going for 🤣

I think the Pooli printer could be what I'm looking for...we want to make a garden journal and stick little photos of plants and progress in it. Do you think it would work for that?

@CRANKY40 I do! If you search on amaz*n for poooli, mine is the one that looks like a bird (I went for green beak), about £42. If you click on it there’s a video clip which shows it in action. The paper/sticker rolls are reasonable and it doesn’t need ink as it works with heat. You can Bluetooth to your mobile or tablet and print anything, so photos, labels, drawings, etc. via an app.

two slugs in the kitchen this morning! They are like Houdini slugs….I’ve no clue how they are getting in! Sometimes there are trails along the bottom of the cabinet, but no slug, but today 2 stayed for breakfast and were promptly put outside! I’ve already blocked the small holes in the tiles around the radiator pipes as that is the only holes I could see, so it’s clearly not that.I wonder if they can squeeze under a pvc door frame? Even so, it would mean them travelling from the small utility into the kitchen…I’m flummoxed!
Anyhow, work today and then a lovely weekend..hurrah! This week has lasted approximately 97 days 😅

I often find slugs in my kitchen too and no idea how they’re getting in. I don’t see them in the day just if I have to let the dog out in the early hours.

I sometimes see the trails in daylight and like you I occasionally spot one when I take the dog out in the night, but today they’d stayed over! I once had a giant one on the worktop at 3am! It had climbed all the way up. I wish I knew where they were coming from 😖 the cupboards are all sealed units apart from the sink cupboard where the pipes come in. So creepy!
