  • I’ve been waiting for a ninja update!! I’m on the fence about buying one and was hoping for some stories about yours but hearing that it’s still in pristine showroom condition won’t help me make up my mind 🤣🤣🤣 xx
slowly working towards being MF one small over payment at a time :T
  • I am going to try grilling lamb steaks tomorrow then hopefully bake a blackberry and apple crumble. It takes me an age to get used to things so we shall see! Hope you are feeling much better and are not quite so colourful x

Good morning and happy Tuesday from the multicoloured winter warrior 😬
I must definitely be brave with my ninja, but I do want to keep it nice 😅
Payday is tomorrow, so that’s good. August wasn’t a great month, but I’m still ending it £500 more saved than I began the month, which is pretty good when I consider the large car bill and the silly spending.
so…the good - increase in savings of £500, £50 overpayment paid to mortgage . The bad - unexpected car repair bill. The ugly - downward spending spiral on the back of the car bill!
I must learn to stop frittering. I have a first target I want to get to by Christmas and will need to buckle down to get there.
I hope you all have a wonderful day filled with happiness and nice things ☕️📚🧁

Only just got back on here, sorry to here about your 'slip' WW, i don't know how you managed to keep working. I hope you feel much better now.
I keep looking at airfryers but as I have a halogen I'm not sure that I would benefit, especially as I don't eat meat or much 'fried' food, so just still thinking!!!!

I'm in the same boat @nannygladys with having a halogen oven.  It also came with a chip basket so they get rotated and a sausage "cage" which we tried but found the sausages got very hard on the outside but not cooked in the middle so have given up with that.  Have to admit it has a large footprint on the worktop!  I'm still pondering an air fryer but admit to not being convinced it's worth it for us.

  • Good morning and happy Wednesday from a still colourful WW 😁
I didn’t realise, but you can airfry loads of different stuff. So not just traditional fried food, but you can air fry all sorts of meat and veg quite successfully. It also has a roast, bake and crisp setting and I’ve seen people baking bread and cakes in their ninja’s. I’d recommended joining some of the ninja Facebook groups for the ninja you are thinking about. I’ve learnt a lot from other peoples posts. I promise to use mine tonight!
Payday today (woohoo) so I have put some into pb’s and am now at 35% of my first target. Fingers crossed for a HUGE win 🤣. I’ve added some to my emergency savings, although I think I might have overextended as I’ve not left much for frittering after dd’s, just £50 per week…and I have a week off at the end of the month. So I may end up taking a bit back, but I’ll go in hard 😬
I hope you all have a lovely stress free day ☕️📚🧁🍫

I used my ninja yesterday to make a steamed syrup pudding, it took twice as long as I thought ! I then made another (gift) and tried to pressure cook it - I didn’t do it for long enough so was still raw in the middle so ended up microwaving it to finish it off …….

tis a learning curve, that said I still love it 😀
