It's still a long way to go. Those of us mere woman who are the main bread winners still seem expected to be the workhorse in the house by society. Lucky Mr M_F realised team work is dream work 🤣Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

It’s definitely a long way to go. MrWW wouldn’t dream of making a meal despite being on shifts now and merrily messing around the house while I work 🙄 When he lived alone he was capable of feeding himself, so I foolishly thought he wouldn’t forget the second he realised ‘I could do it better’ (man speak for he doesn’t want to). He will wait until whatever time I finish and then comment on how late it is while we are eating 🤯Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

@badmemory… we ladies might still blow our mortgage money on shoes and fripperies without a man to keep us in check 🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

My best friend managed to feed himself ok when he lived on his own. When he moved in with his niece while looking for a house here he started coming to my house for lunch once a week. He moved into his own house a couple of months before Christmas and it has been a long slow process convincing him that we can take turns to make lunch.
My late husband could cook and he was an electrician too (with electronics and communications as his degree). A few years after he died our son asked what I missed most about his dad. I don't think "enchiladas" was the answer that was expected 🤣 I also miss that when he came home from sea he fixed things like the vacuum cable, the springs on the washing machine and anything else that I'd managed to break.5 -
I'm the fixed in our house or rather if I don't fix it I have to sort out someone to fix it and heaven forbid he is expected to use a day off to get it done. Him gets more holiday than me 😒Dedicated Debt Free Wanabee 🤓

Enchiladas sounds like a perfectly sensible answer to me Cranky! 😁
I’m a bit of a bodger myself. MrWW likes to do things properly, but that means ordering all the tools and then getting frustrated and taking months…if I think I can fix something under the radar I go for it when he isn’t looking…it’s easier 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
