Happy Sunday ☕️ Who are you making the cot quilt for?
It’s for my mum, to give to her friend, for her friends daughter who is expecting. My mum is paying for the materials and my blood, sweat and tears are donated for free because I love her 😁 I’ve not made a cot quilt before so I’m hoping it goes quicker and easier that a big one.

Morning all, I really fancy a new craft project but can't seem to get into anything 🤔
Running up to Chrimbo I was knitting a scarf for 8yo and jumpers for her little teddies but I want to do something new now. Any good websites with knitting projects to recommend? Perhaps I could start working on a blanket for her, for next Christmas. Its a bit too far away though, I need the pressure of a deadline or just mess around 😂

I've started making some dolls blankets for the little girls in our families. The HT's partner has a little sister and I have a great niece who is nearly 2. I remember when I was small being given my own baby blankets for dolls and they were swamped by them so I thought I'd make a couple of dolls pram sized ones.

Lots of creative people on here!  One of my targets for this year is to do a crochet course, someone locally does 1:1 but i need to be able to commit to a regular weekly slot.  Plus have money to pay for it :)
I have 3 online savings accounts with my bank (c00p), one for DD2's uni support fund; one for mortgage overpayments and one for general savings.
I collected DD2 yesterday and we got home at midnight!  Her phone seems to be terminally ill so i need to find out if we are near the end of the contract etc; i had insurance which i cancelled last year as never used it grrrr.
Today stepmum is visiting so i have already hoovered; will be feeding her HM soup which is in the fridge and freezer but will need to buy bread plus need cat food and some more vegan options (yay!)

@elbree have you thought about knitting for prem babies at your local hospital? Both mine were prem and in scbu. Babies lose a lot of heat and most parents aren't expecting these tiny ones.

I love the sound of everyone's arts and crafts projects. As a kid I was either reading, drawing or making stuff. Now I don't do anything. It drives me mad when 12yo tells me she's bored within 10minutes of waking up.

Still thinking of the reading journal so may have a look at that now.

  • I've done down the rabbit hole of watching you tube bullet journal videos this morning and am sulking that I haven't the artist ability to do such wonders. Mr M_F does have the ability but not the inclination lol. I tried to pursuade him to do mine but he refused probably because he knows id get upset that I couldn't 🤭

  • I saw stencils but wasn't sure which to go for. Do you have recommendations?

Mine are very flimsy and cheap and cheerful, but work ok. It depends if you want solid ones or not. The ones I ordered are really thin plastic, but 18 pieces for £5.99. Aster 18 piece bullet journal stencils if you search on my favourite shopping site.
Others may come along with better recommendations as these are the only ones I have 😁
