Afternoon, gorgeous photo winterwarrior - i grew up by the sea but it was always busy in summer. Now i live near lots of canals so i'm happy with that
Yes i survived the shopping complex, it's an outdoor one so felt ok but it was heaving at 5pm! I got an expensive coat for DD2 and a weekend bag for DD1's boyfriend at a great price, plus a few other gifts. I also accidently bought myself some work shoes oops. They were only £22, leather from cl@rks. I have decided i don't need anymore work clothes for the rest of my working life but i didn't have any smart black shoes and if i wear boots all day they make my feet ache
Have been to town today for more food supplies, was heaving there too so i bought what i needed and came home. I got some more batteries so i can have more twinkly lights around the place as i do love themIt's my payday tomorrow but i managed to stay in credit as i got paid for my self employment role last week - some of that is owed to the taxman though !

I love the doggy photo. Did you let her keep the stone? My friend's lab hopped into another friend's car while they were chatting in the car park by the beach and they were like "aww just look at him". By the time that they realised that the weekly shop was in the car he was tucking into one of those giant yorkshire pudding frozen meals for one. Thats the same lab that gatecrashed the barbecue at another of my friend's houses - I think I've mentioned him before? Hurtled across the park, across a main road, straight through my mate's house, into the garden and snatched a burger from someones plate as they were eating. His owner/slave was offered a G&T by my friend whose house it was but was too embarrassed to accept 😂2

Nice new shoes @Deni_debt-free_dreamer 😁
@CRANKY40 I said she could bring it home as it’s a while since she’s been able to walk one home, but she dropped it before jumping in the car. She’s too well/over fed to snatch a frozen meal, but she’d have a burger if it was offered/wafted as though being offered 😁 The poor owner 😳
in her younger days she launched over the wall and across the road to see a passing dog…I ran faster than an Olympic champion that day, I was so scared I’d lose her. So lucky the road was empty. I doubt I’ll ever run that fast again, it was a miracle I didn’t die 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

The 8yo and I voted for Rose too, there's something so sweet about her! We watched to first dance, voted and went to bed. Both poorly, me with Covid and her with an ear infection (but mercifully LF negative so far). We watched on catch up this morning and I was careful not to look online in case there were spoilers! @WinterWarrior gorgeous photo, sounds like you both had a good day!2

@beanielou they are called true face and from Amazon…£11.99. I have no idea what they’ll be like but for the price they should be ok to put me on for bumbling around the house. Jeans sizes are so weird, I have lots of ancient Next ones that don’t fit and 2 pairs of the same size that do, but breathing is difficult (😖) and 1 of the same size that are just ok! I’m hoping the new sz up cheapies will be nice and roomy until I get my act together. I need a little breathing space to get through Christmas 😋😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning and happy Monday 🍫☕️📚🎄 3 days of work left…I hope I survive!
I did my 2022 spreadsheet and plan yesterday, ready for early pay on the 23rd.For December..the good - I end on £550 more in savings than at the end of November. I haven’t touched my pots. Christmas is bought and paid for. I have a 2022 plan. My credit card is cleared after every purchase, even before the spend hits the balance. We paid about £30 extra to the mortgage.
The bad - I took a few hundred back from general savings and am still less overall than I was in September when I had ‘the bad month’. It will take me until the end of January to get back to where I was and February to increase them.
The ugly - sticking to plan is hard! Where I save with one hand, I often spend with the other. I’m no longer paying out loans and should be able to at least save the difference each month, but always fall short.I need to kick in my inner dragon and sit on my pile of gold hoarding it and breathing fire on any tempting special offers 🔥🤣
One good thing is I have so many lovely chocolate presents turning up that I shouldn’t need to buy any chocolate for months!I hope you all have a marvellous Monday filled with wonderful happy things ☕️🍫📚🎄Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Monday 🎄
At least you can see where your weaknesses are and can come up with a plan to overcome them. You're not burying your head in the sand. Another plus is at least you're not going into debt. Baby steps.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
