Good morning and happy Sunday 📚🍫☕️☕️☕️🎄
I was pleased Rose won strictly and did give her all my votes, but would have been happy if John won. It was nice having a final with two worthy winners..it took the stress out of it 🤣 I even had a Christmas snowball with 2 cocktail cherries in, so that felt festive as I only have one at Christmas (I think it’s the law). It takes me back to childhood when we would be allowed a really weak tiny snowball and to select a few sweets from the giant quality street tin beneath the multicoloured fairy lights 🎄
Today I will sort out my 2022 spreadsheets and try to find a plan I can really buy into. I need to make it my sensible year! Yesterday I spent again…some cheap jeans, as shamefully I can’t breathe in any of mine, to put me on until I can fit back into my existing ones (next year!), some posh cat biscuits (they are running out, but that £14 will come out of the jan pet food budget and some bourbon for MrWW. I get paid early on Thursday, so I will do my month end run down as I shouldn’t need to spend anything while on leave and have £30 of amzn Christmas vouchers if I do! 

I will take dog out for her drive and might even tangle with my new wool 😁

Good morning and a happy Sunday (dog drive day?) back to you 😊 When I was small my nana would take me to her sisters house at weekends. Her sister went out with her boyfriend and my nana's gentleman friend would call round to visit her. I was given the treat of a snowball every Saturday night. At least I thought it was a treat. I now realise that it was something to make the non-sleeping 6 year old sleep so that the adults could have a few hours in peace without me 😁 I still like snowballs now but I have to say I never had a cocktail cherry in mine.

@CRANKY40 every week! You lucky thing…I expect like our yearly one there was barely enough advocaat to turn your lemonade yellow 🤣 I feel sad you never had cherries…our single Christmas jar was heralded with great excitement each year!

I might go and buy some cherries - I feel cheated that I've never had any 😂  In my family's defence I should probably say that I have ADHD and hardly slept until I started school. I was diagnosed by our family doctor as "hyperactive" when I was five and he prescribed valium - for a five year old, seriously l!!!! Luckily my mum recognised that valium could be a problem and put them down the toilet (it's a wonder that she didn't take them herself). So.....they did actually make me a proper snowball. I guess that as an alternatove to what the doctor tried to give me it doesn't look that bad now does it?

I voted for the first time ever via the website, gave all 6 votes to Rose but would’ve been equally happy if John won. I think this year’s Strictly has been the best one ever, despite reservations at never having heard of most of them at the start. I’m really going to miss it 😢 I do like the Masked Singer though so have that to look forward to - a programme I hated when I first saw it, even switched it off refusing to watch such rubbish. The next thing I knew I was arguing with a friend on FB about who we thought was behind the mask 🤣🤣

My mum used to love snowballs with a 🍒 When she got the snowballs, jars of maraschino cherries and cocktail sticks out I knew it was Christmas 😆

It’s like the Victorian equivalent of giving babies gin to keep them quiet 😳 I mean the Valium, not an odd snowball 🤣 what kept us quiet was the ever present threat of ‘the slipper’ 😬

@jwil and @Sun_Addict I think most people were the same this year, both worthy of winning, so no real stress. I never know who 95% of them are at the beginning!
I’ve not tried the masked singer. I used to like the voice until the judges changed one to many times.
Dog had fun, I took her all the way to the big beach with nice parking (I used to walk her to a local one, but don’t enjoy driving on the single track roads…the fear of reversing for miles in a straight line if I meet someone coming the other way is too much!) Anyway, took her all that way, she ran onto the sand, selected a stone and started heading straight back to her car! I had to run after her to clip her back up and then she led me up the steps and to her car door, dropped the stone, jumped in and laid down 🤣 i fastened her in and drove her home with the window down so she could smell the country air. She’s now zonked out under my chair, like she had a 10 mile hike, not a 3 minute trot on the sand 🤣 She’s so old. I love her so much.
