No, sorry I didn't mean it like that. 😄Jenni_D said:We may be talking at cross-purposes. I responded to your specific comment that I put in bold. That comment seemed to say that the 10 mins grace period started after the driver had accepted the terms; that is not the case. The grace period starts after the driver has first parked up (or in the case of ANPR monitoring, on entry to the car park ... yes, we know this viewpoint is wrong but that's the way the PPCs look at it). If that's what you were meaning - fine. That's not how I read it.
If they've issued a PCN for non-payment yet the observed time is less than 10 minutes then grace period would be a valid defence; if it's more than 10 minutes then things become more woolly.
I meant if the terms were accepted immediately on entering, as they say is allowed if you choose not to read them. Then it must be so that from the second you enter and by default accept the terms a period of 10 minutes must be given.
It's wooly enough already given that it's non payment, non ticketed, and patron only lol

I believe version 7 covers the time when the charge notice was created/issued so that one should apply to the charge?Fruitcake said:Redx said:I don't think it's clause 13 in the IPC CoP

I have also just noticed that in version 7 it states an added amount (although proved unjust) must not exceed £60
They have a amended this in a new version from July 2021that says must not exceed £70
They have added 70 so they are now using a code that wasn't in force at the time of the charge?

The industry does what it wants and if the MHCLG are not careful, that will carry on.
The Government has been led up the garden path by plausible lobbying, presumably threatening more court claims if the APAs don't get what they want. Same as happened in 2011/12 when the Goverment fell for it then, too.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hello all,
Posting as I have just come home to the same PCN at the same garage with the same company.
I went in to buy stuff from the BP. Placed that stuff in my car and ran over to McDonals to use the toilets. Came back and left.
Going to read the 10 pages and hoping to find a resolution.0 -
