I am still in the *ignore it* phase.
I was concerned that my engaging with them early on and needlessly giving them my details may mean that ignoring wasn't a safe option.0 -
Giving them a copy of the driving licence was definitely not a safe option !!
They currently have your

They only have to look at social media and can possibly obtain answers to some of the other typical security questions that tend to be asked !!

I'd say the fact you were a visitor doesn't matter because your car was in fact being used to help a resident load/unload. So it's on all fours with Jopson.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have now received a letter from QDR solicitors 'requiring' me to make the payment in 14 days or they 'may' pass the matter on to their litigation department.
From experience, is a CCJ now inevitable if I don't pay?

Be careful. Use ccj *only* to refer to a court judgment that has not been paid within the requisite period.
If you mean, is it inevitable that they will now start court proceedings, well no, but it seems likely, since they have no means of getting any cash without doing so.
If you mean, is it inevitable that you'll lose at court, well no. And I say that because trials are inherently unpredictable but also because the quality of the documents parking companies produce to the court are often very poor indeed.
At this late stage, the ppc will already have inflated their charges to not far off £200. Even if you lost on the charge, there's scope to trim the amount back, so you may as well press on if you have the time and inclination to do so.
If the worst happens, after a trial loss, you will be given a short period to pay. You *must* do so. If the payment is made there and then, you may have been involved in a court dispute, but there is no entry in the register of undischarged judgment debts (commonly referred to as a CCJ)6 -
Thank you.
I certainly have the inclination. This forum has been invaluable so far in giving me the confidence.
I almost want to force the court case at this stage as I am away from home a lot with work and am concerned I would miss any actual court summons letter.1 -
No summons will arrive , it's a civil matter , so it's an MCOL that arrives
Seems pedantic but as you saw in the post by Johnnersh , words and meanings matter , his reply is one of the best replies ever seen on here , so take heed of it
Any court claim will come from the CCBC in Northampton , in the post. The claimant Parking company is in control and has 6 years to issue one3 -
