Halifax have set up a standing order to another bank (one I use but not the switched account) described as Type BILP, no other details. In a letter received today. Nothing is showing via my Halifax account when checked online. What does BILP stand for?

They did the same for me. It looks like the payees from the old account in the switch are being referred to as standing orders. I am now off to Google BILP.

Edit. It looks like this has been around for a while.

Did the same - to get rid of an old account I never use.

And I hopefully have 12 cinema visits to look forward to as well - with half price popcorn! Just hope the cinemas stay open for good now post 17 May.

I've got my £100 and the switch hasn't even happened yet 🤣
I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?

Well, the account set-up went smoothly enough - all set up, switch day scheduled and £100 sitting there. The current irritation is in setting up Google Pay - the only verification option is "Call your bank" - the message on the Halifax line says "urgent only" and "it'll be at least half an hour".

I've just switched to Halifax.  How long do I have to stay with them for to keep the switching bonus, i.e. could I switch to TSB in 6/12 months and receive another bonus?
