Hi how much was the issued payment? If of course you don’t mind me asking?
  • Hi everyone,

Has anyone had any payments issued? It’s driving me crazy.
  • No nothing iv spoken to them twice since sending back documents first person said that il get a response by letter by 02/07/2021 the second person said I should get a response by 06/07/2021 and that they will only send a letter if more documents are required if not they will issue payment so still unsure what's happening

Not at all it was for £2488. However my work mates done theirs same time as me, and theirs were both over £2500 and they got theirs issued on 15th April.

I honestly think mine only issued this time so quickly because the advisor cancelled the original request and issued a new one for the new amount. Would prob still be waiting otherwise.

There is definitely no specific reason such as people with grants, certain amounts etc. I do think it is random checks they have put in but prob been issue with the system causing more to get picked for checks than usual, they obviously didn’t expect this many and have no staff to deal as the grants and covid payments are getting priority.

I know my mate had issue with 4th grant as they said sent letter for him to prove ID but it didn’t go out to him and he didn’t know so he was given longer than deadline to be able to claim 4th grant. He could claim up until end of June so that might be why saying not dealing with the repayments until 1st-5th July.

They told me 6 weeks when i phoned on the 14th
  • Got original documents back in post today with a letter saying it had been passed to the relevant people and would be dealt with shortly
  • I’ve had no grants because they said I wasn’t eligible had no help of anyone now my tax return be held back at first though it was because looks abit dodgy I’ve had no Seiss or government grants and was checking because looked suspicious but it’s abit of a joke now I’ve had 7 tax returns and all of a sudden they need to prove my identity work mates who have claimed seiss have had their tax returns just seems like they prioritising grants even though there are people in same boat as me who have struggles through lockdown with no help whatsoever joke in my eyes

    Decided to call today.

Spoke to an advisor who was quite helpful, listen to this.....

Done my return on the 6th of April, waited until the 25th of April and called as no payment. Was then told security checks, waited 6weeks and called again. Was told all checks done no letter being sent out or further checks needed your repayment will be soon.

Called 2 weeks ago and was told we will pass this on to the appropriate team and see what the hold up is.

    Nothing.

Then today...... Ahhh yes Mr so and so your return was looked at on the 17th
    "of April?" no June.

June the 17th of June iv literally been lied to for months.

So now I'm being told to expect a letter in the post. What an absolute Joke hmrc are.

Fuming, I hate being lied too
