Haven't done mine yet. Quick question, is their a separate section to show any SEISS payments received or should i just add them on to my trading turnover for the year?
Do I need the ref numbers for the grants etc?

But you omitted your turnover so your return was not correct and may well be getting investigated.Claire2012xz said:All this I.d etc is ridiculous... you have to varify yourself before you even set up a account with them.
it’s really making me wish I was paye absolutely pathetic considering it’s a refund of what we have paid! Anyone would think they are gifting it us... I’m yet to receive the letter but requesting 8 different things someone has stated is beyond a joke.Could understand if it was being investigated but it’s just a security checks for goodness sake. #rantover
When you amended the return that may have put it to the back of the queue as it would have a later date of submission.
Just be glad they did not repay the first amount which you would have had to repay.0 -

I received the same letter today today and mine still pending they want lots of paperwork 8 different things to be exact half of them I do not haveSarahrees892 said:My husband submitted his return on 16th April and has been showing as bank repayment pending ever since, he spoke to hmrc via webchat yesterday and they said they had sent a letter on 12th may which he still hasn't recieved and the payment is still showing as repayment pending today. As his repayment hasn't dissapeared off his account could it be a different letter he will recieve ?0 -
It would not of gone through as there was no turnover hence why I sat pending for quite a while it wasn’t a error as in a inaccurate figure it was a missed section, as to which I was informed by hmrc to amend.sheramber said:

I’m more than happy to comply with their queries but it does not mean that I’m not annoyed about the amount of time they are waisting asking pointless questions.

Sorry - it really does not work like that. Your NIL turnover would not be the reason for continued pending. It would have ‘gone through’ in the same way as if you had added an extra nought to your turnover or omitted to claim any expenses. Unless things have changed dramatically since my day HMRC process and ask questions later - they have 22 months to do just that. What would also have happened is that a loss ensued and that would have involved more scrutiny (how were you to relieve the loss?). Presumably you pointed this out to HMRC and it was suggested that you could amend the return.Claire2012xz said:

Having said all that, I must admit to having some concerns as to these letters. I note that HMRC state that these do not constitute S9A enquiries but S9, presumably to leave the former option available.
It will be interesting to see how this develops. Had this occurred regularly in previous years it would be mentioned throughout this thread. Hopefully, not a permanent change of approach or a regular feature in years to come3 -
