(unless this has some kind of ringfenced access on the wan side that cannot get to the LAN side or open up access to the outside)Whoosh - sorryOur WiFi is password protected, if that's what you are inferring.J_B said:getmore4less said:Are you trying over a wired connection or wifi?
plug direct into a LAN port on the routerHave tried via wired yesterday (*) and WiFi today with the same error message* = I did manage to get as far as the log in page with the old PC yesterday but then it wouldn't go any furtherI have contacted Airband for suggestions as last time I had a connection issue their support said that they had logged into my router and updated it ... maybe they altered the access settings?0 -
Hmm, don't most ISP have access to your router? They also have my bank details0

to check just the router is working you need to check device to device on your LAN, cabled and WiFi.
One way is transfer a file between devices.
I would also consider running a wired test connecting the router as close to the incoming feed as possible and a short patch lead from router to device to eliminate as much of your house cable as you can.1 -
