Wow Brambling! Have you had an awakening? Isn't it funny how you can suddenly have a moment when your thinking changes and you can start again. I swear that dieting is all in your brain. If your head is in the right place you can do it. If it isn't you are never going to win so you might as well give up the unequal struggle and settle for damage limitation.
Sometimes damage limitation is as good as it gets.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Totally agree Monna if my head isn't in the right place it's usually the same few lbs recycled round and round. Usually only weigh on he first of the month but had a sneaky weigh as I’ve been eating off plan and wanted to know what 2 weeks damage was.... about 2lbs by the look!
Am suddenly more motivated as we haven’t binged or been terrible! Hope I can get back on the wagon now.
Have been for a walk every day for the last ten days - each a minimum of 30 mins and have been trying to increase my speed on the shorter walks too. Managed to go from an average of 2.9 mph to 3.2 mph, so will keep tying to increase that one for as long as my lungs can cope
even if I do put on weight on my official weigh in, hopefully my backside won’t have increased too much

Frith you've been doing so well with your amazing 2.5 stone loss so you're allowed a occasional blip I imagine you are feeling ill as it's a big difference from your normal healthy BSD meals I'm sure you will be soon back on track. I will admit to just checking the baking cupboard for Welsh cake ingredients, I'm easily led astray so I'm about to follow your lead and go to bed 🙂

Frith, It's called a balanced diet. Weeks of iron discipline and a controlled, healthy eating plan, followed by a few days of indulgence when you furiously stuff down everything you have denied yourself in the past and make up for all the goodies you intend to deny yourself in the future.

Once I included a question of what consistuted a balanced diet in an exam paper. One 11 year old answered "50% healthy food,. 50% nice food."
