Well done everyone on your lossesI went back to my walking group this morning - I discovered they had been back for 4 weeks, but I had't known. Met up with a couple of people I haven't seen since we stopped last March, and 2 new ladies, which was lovely.
Stopped off for coffee afterwards - well, it was supposed to only be coffee but half my friend's bacon sandwich ended up in my saucer and had to be eaten. Hopefully the walking and the sandwich will have balanced each other out!7 -
since last weekly weigh-in:
Thursday 1779 cals 5 veg/fruit
Friday 1773 cals 5 fruit/veg
Saturday 1633 cals 5 fruit/veg
Sunday 1582 cals 7 veg/fruit
Monday 1478 cals 7 veg/fruit (one chocolate)
Tuesday 1650 cals 5 fruit/veg (one chocolate)
Wednesday 1483 cals 6 veg/fruit (one chocolate
average 1625 cals/day
(but no cake at all this week)
I'm hoping for another pound off tomorrow.
@2childmum2 - strange how bacon sandwiches can behave like that, isn't it?8 -
Morning All,
Dominiquey Well done for the STS. Biscuits are very hard to resist.
Brambling Well done for the STS, they're especially good when you're expecting worse, and thank you for the gold star
candiii Welcome and good luck
lantanna Springing a photo on you with that little notice is just cruel. Years ago they decided to take photos for our website with absolutely no warning. Fortunately I was a lot younger and thinner then, what wasn't so good was the fact that I was so hungover I could barely sit up straight
LittleVoice Well done for the lack of cake and sticking to well under your calorie aim, you definitely deserve a loss tomorrow.
bit_by_bit Your pub lunch sounds lovely and well done for avoiding the pud and your long walk.
ditty Well done for the loss, the quiet obsession is definitely working.
2childmum2 I'm glad you enjoyed walking club and I'm sure it will have balanced out the jumping bacon sarnie. I'm convinced that other people's food doesn't have the same number of calories (although, looking at how fat I am, I wouldn't take my advice when it comes to dieting)
K9zz Welcome back and good luck. I don't really know much about fibromyalgia but it sounds horrible and I hope it calms down soon.
Cranky Ouch!!! I think you're allowed to have as much of a face on as you like and I hope that they can do something for it and that the injections will work.
moneyowen Well done for the loss. I know it can be disappointing when it's not as much as you would've liked but the main thing is that it's heading in the right direction.
LilacPotato Well done on the loss and I hope your hip improves soon
short_bird Well done on the loss, it's always nice but even better when unexpected.
I'm quite surprised but I've actually managed to stick to eating sensibly so far this week. Yes, I know it's only 3 days but that's still better than I normally manage. I haven't been calorie counting but making sure I have a sensible lunch and dinner and only allowing one treat a day. Because I generally don't bother with breakfast I've inadvertently been doing all of my eating in a 7-hour window and a sneaky mid-week check of the scales suggests that it's working. I'm not sure how much of it is actual weight loss and how much is a 1st week bump/water loss and the difference between the amounts I ate on Sunday and yesterday but it's definitely easier to keep going when I think it's working.
Best of luck and stay safe everyone xx9 -
Thank you, Izadora. As I hoped, I am able to report another 1 lb has melted away over the past week.So I'll try to keep under 1700 cals/day again this coming week but not today, thusThursday 1813 cals 5 veg/fruit (but still no cake or chocolate)6

Hello All
Small loss of -1lb for me this week, I confess to being a little disappointed as my first week of trying intermittent fasting and I was expecting a larger loss, I know in my head a loss is a loss but I'm so impatient. I've also done lots (for me) exercise this last week. Ah well after a grump last night to dh, I'm over it and shall carry on and hope for a loss again next, slow and steady etc.

Lol at the photo story, that’s like something I’d have done 20 years ago. I’m lost with what weight I started the challenge at. I weighed this morning and I’m 2 lbs more than my lowest weight this year. So I’m just going with that so plus 2 please. Hopefully have a loss next week8

Hi,Well done losers and Sts-ers.
Weigh day today and a STS please Brambling. My 1st weigh in this quarter as I wasn’t able to get a reading on the scales whilst balancing on 1 foot! I’ve injured my foot and ankle and have been very sedentary so I’ve reduced my meals to two or 2 1/2 when I’ve convinced myself I’m still hungry at supper time.Take care all.Old Style Weight Loss Challenge 2025
