Here to report a STS this week
I'm not surprised really - I may have succumbed to chocolate on more than one occasion. Plus yesterday we drove down to see DH's mum so bought some lunch to take and eat in her garden which wasn't the most diet friendly food, and then DH's sister also came. Once DH's mum got too cold we left and went to sister's garden and they suggested a chinese takeaway so we ate that too - but I don't regret it at all - we haven't seen this side of the family for about 8 months and it was lovely to sit and chat, until it got too cold - , we didn't leave until 8pm, so were quite late home
I'm also not too worried - have spent the last year putting weight on i feel as if staying the same is a step forward anyway!

Hi Everyone!
There’s some good work going on here - well done, people.
dumpling it’s good to see you back, best wishes for your health.
Sorry not to name check everyone - I was spending too much time on line so have had to cut back (a lot!).
Weighing in with an STS again, not surprising, because cake happened, and so did wine. I’m just glad it’s not a gain.
Have a good week, All!“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Twin souls Blue. I'm STS as well. Any week where I don't gain is a winner in my book.

Hi all, I feel it's a good and healthy feeling weekend, with a run yesterday and my first lake swim this morning, sensible food and I'll go for a walk later to catch up on my steps. The longer I have been doing this, the more I appreciate the importance of just weighing every week, as it just becomes a habit - it is quite chocking how little food one actually need!
I am really thinking about rewards, comfort foods and the feelings around food and I think thats where exercise really helps me, partly by burning calories but also by reminding me what it's actually like to be hungry - and not just tired, frustrated what ever.
And oh no - I asked for it - the purple devils are back!
Fingers crossed they will be gone sometime soon.Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

dumpling said:Thank you honeythewitch and sirens for your helpful comments. I have just ordered some resistance bands from Argos to help my workout. I found a really good seated exercise plan on Youtube so spent a happy 20 mins bending and stretching and I was quite out of puff by the end so I guess it is doing me good 😁. I also take on board what you said about comfort drinks instead of food. I drink lots and lots of water but it would be nice to source some different flavoured squashes for a change. I'm willing to try anything really to get this flab off. 🏋️♀️💪Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%

Hi all. I haven't beeen in for a few days but have had some sucess with my aims:
Two habits I want to break:
First, the choc bar(s) I pick up on the way to the charity shop: I had lucn and took and apple and a banana plus water
The second is the allotment visit with DS2: Not been since writing.
Two habits I want to make:
First - only one 'naughty' a day. Either a pudding or cake or choc bar: doing ok with this. I am not telling myself I can't have something - needs to be come a habit to decline extras
Second: Carry healthy alternatives for when I get peckish: Doing this. Apples and bananas
I have been less lethargic since the last post and making these simple decisions.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Hi everyone, I am popping on to say I have gained another 1lb which is disappointing but I am not giving up and will just try harder this week. I have ordered lots of fruit and herbal teas, a jar of lift lemon tea, some options hot chocolate and a few bottles of squash in flavours I haven't tried yet so I shall be well hydrated at the very least 😁.
bit-by-bit, I like your idea of breaking bad habits and gaining good ones. They certainly seem doable and I hope they do the trick for you.
Today I will be munching:
b - porridge and a banana
l - not sure yet, probably a sandwich
d - beef curry, cauliflower rice and a mini naan bread
s - fruit
Hope you all have a great week, take care xx7 -
