Yesterday I was tempted by a large Sainsbury's Football Crazy cake (12 portion iced Madeira cake) yellow stickered to £1.74. I had one portion today and put single or two slices in bags and put them in the freezer to take out from time to time. If they prove not to be acceptable when simply unfrozen I'll mix with fruit yogurt for a pudding.7 -
My eyesight isn't good enough to determine half pounds but it does look like I've waved goodbye to another 1 lb since last week's weigh-in.So I'll try to keep under 1700 cals/day this coming week but overstepped the mark today, thusThursday 1779 cals 5 veg/fruit8

Well done on the loss Littlevoice it looks like the calorie counting is working.
Izadora luckily the calls are audio only, early on video calls were suggested and the team opposed to it 😬 I can go on mute and putter into the kitchen to pick or make a cuppa and hear the laptop in the dining room, one strike against finally moving upstairs to work although my waistline will benefitLife shrinks or expands in proportion to one's courage - Anais Nin8 -
Hi all. Popping in to report NO change in weight this week.
I was talking about calorie counting but I can't seem to concentrate on it at all.
Looking at habits I have two I want to break:
First, the choc bar(s) I pick up on the way to the charity shop where I work twice a week to 'keep me going'. This one can easily be solved by eating lunch and taking fruit with me.
The second is the allotment visit with DS2. Picked up chocolate on the way today. Again. So those are my targets. Most times I am starting to feel hungry because I ate ages ago or didn't eat at ll. Not big on breakfasts.
And two habits I want to make:
First - only one 'naughty' a day. Either a pudding or cake or choc bar.
Second: Carry healthy alternatives for when I get peckish.
I am on a trip up to Manchester tomorrow to visit SiL and her husband. A lot of opportunities to get bad for me food. In the bag is a banana and an apple and will make a sandwich to go with me and a flask. DS2 is coming with me. He is 30 years old and can get his own grub.
Sucesses this week have been doing the weekly shop and not buying extras. Not going into the newsagents for a choccy bar on way to CS. I took a banana with me instead.

Good morning everyone
. It's another lovely day in the making and I have my weight loss head screwed back on tight I hope. I rejoined WW last night as they had an offer on and I spent some time going through the programme. I am on Green and have lots and lots of points to play with but I have decided not to waste them on junk but have good healthy meals instead.
I am making sticky orange chicken and rice for dinner tonight. I haven't made it for a long time and I recall it being very tasty so that should get me off to a good start.
I decided to stop wallowing in self pity and start making some positive small changes that I can stick to. I am far too sedentary and i may be very wobbly on my pins but there are exercises I can do to help strengthen my legs and give me more stamina. I don't want to be a burden on my poor family any more so it is time for me to get off my bum quite literally and get moving again.
I am so encouraged by all you lovely people who take the time to post whether you have lost, gained or sts. It is especially good to read about people who keep going, even if things aren't going as well as you hoped, so thank you everyone x7 -
Morning All
Dumpling, you sound much more positive, good work on making a plan, hope you are feeling much better xx
Up early today to make sure ds has gone to school and then I need to pop to Sainsbob for some bits, it's only a 15min walk but having some issues with my ankle and upper foot so trying not to do too much walking until it's eased. Cut the grass yesterday and am trying to add a small amount of weight trying to my arms (bingo wings!) I have some of those band thingy's Dumpling that I use for my legs like a big elastic band that helps with resistance to strengthen them, I only got them last week but so far they seem good. Tried my first intermittent fast day yesterday so no food from 8:30 last night until 12:30 today, I'm feeling hungry but I think that might be more because I know I'm not supposed to eat? I'm trying to run that along with SW and up my exercise. The exercise thing is easy when I'm off but I'm struggling to squeeze it in to the day when I'm working.'You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose' - Dr Suess

Thank you honeythewitch and sirens for your helpful comments. I have just ordered some resistance bands from Argos to help my workout. I found a really good seated exercise plan on Youtube so spent a happy 20 mins bending and stretching and I was quite out of puff by the end so I guess it is doing me good 😁. I also take on board what you said about comfort drinks instead of food. I drink lots and lots of water but it would be nice to source some different flavoured squashes for a change. I'm willing to try anything really to get this flab off. 🏋️♀️💪9

Not feeling too well, not sure if it’s IBS playing up or side effects from the vaccine. Either way stomach and head both not in a good state. It’s at times like this I get a reminder how I take my health for granted and I need to start looking after myself.7
