    @poppy12345

No pay until1st wage 1st April.
Managed a call to uc this morning, their advisor is updating my journal for my uc claim Manager to check and advise of LCTW selection.

No fit note is required at this time unless I'm signed of work ill.

Off topic I've been recently paid the WTC deduction one off 500 pounds, though that's as they were live at that time before being wrongly closed

    thanks

The fit note is not *required* on their end but if you want to be assessed for work capability you will need one.  They cannot refer you for it without medical evidence, which in practice they only really accept in the form of a fit note.

[The reason they don't require it is because you have no work search commitments because you are in work and earning.]

It's worth working out whether with the LCWRA element you'd be entitled to anything and therefore if it might be worth it or not.

    - With LCW or LCWRA you'd have a work allowance, an amount of your earnings they ignore before making deductions.  I infer you are not claiming help with rent so the work allowance would be £515.

    - In this case if assessed as having LCW you could earn 515+(409.89÷0.63) = £1165.62  before your UC reduced to nil.  From September that would be 515+(324.84÷0.63) = £1030.62

    - If LCWRA you'd have an extra £
343.63 in your maximum UC entitlement.  You could then earn an extra £545.44 each month before reducing your award to nil, so a total of £1710.06 falling to £1576.64 after the drop.  (The lower amount equates to a take-home salary of £18,912.77, so AFTER tax and NI.)

Whether you want to pursue a WCA is up to you of course, but if your take-home pay is below the figures above (whether in the LCW or LCWRA scenario) it may well be worth doing so.  BUT it won't happen without a fit note, in which case it is in your interests to supply one ASAP to start the 3-month wait for the LCWRA element.

(Incidentally the only reason a WCA can happen with you working full-time is that you have a PIP daily living award, otherwise they wouldn't be able to refer you for one.)

Regarding the advice from the person on the phone this morning about not needing a fit note... bad advice and this proves that you should always take advice from DWP with caution.

You were advised on this thread a month ago that a fit note would be needed for you to be referred for the WCA, this means that a month has now been wasted.

Journal updated  by myself and UC advisor.
Thankfully case Manager has been alerted via Advisor.
I'll continue to call and use journal.

please remember if any fault, it was with WTC's advice originally.

    thanks

To be fair although your tax credits was closed HMRC wouldn't know anything at all about UC. If you've reported your health condition onto your journal, it's not enough and you will need a fit note to go with it so that you can put the details of that into your journal.

not sure if this is correct, didn't get past tel reception as was advised fit note only when off work ill.
I'm only a few weeks into new job, I'm not a person to make up excuses for time off.
Not sure if this brings UC to close.
No complaint follow up yet either ref wtc's lost.
