Not sure why UC calculators point to Zero Entitlement when 17-18K yearly wages are takin into account.
I'ts been a few years since PIP form as recent years have auto renewed and a Tel assessment rather than Atos visit.
I'll read over your and Spoonie Turtles detailed responses this weekend.
    Thanks

UC is based on earings received during your assessment period (AP). For your first payment, if you haven't received any earnings from your employer within your AP then you will receive the full entitlement for your circumstances which will be about £409 ( although the benefits annual increase start from this month.
After your first payment you will have no further payments because your earnings will reduce entitlement to zero.
Once you're assessed if you're placed into the LCWRA then you maybe entitled to a very small payment each month but it will depend exactly on your earnings each month. Although doing the figures based on annual earnings of £18,000 converted to monthly there will be very little, if any at all UC entitlement, even with the LCWRA element.

Thanks for taking your time over calculations, so it seems hmrc's error is gong to cost me up to 400 pounds per month and I'll be liable to repay 400 pounds UC advance as I cannot find Part Time job anytime soon, *with M.S.)

The advance payment is offered based on your maximum entitlement, even if your UC is reduced to zero and yes you will need to repay it back. You say you can't find a part time job anytime soon? i'm confused about this because you said you're now working full time and earning £17- £18,000 a year, is this still correct?

I was Part Time 3 years,  Full time since recent redundancy.
My preference would be Part Time, though very few Part Time Jobs, though still searching.

Based on the full time earnings there would no UC payable unless you were assessed and placed into the LCWRA group and even then it would be very little, certainly no where near as much as what you were receiving from tax credits.
You can use a benefits calculator and put in different figures and it will give you some idea what UC you would be entitled to.
Just out of interest, how many weeks was there between your redunancy and starting work full time?

Zero weeks as I requested 1 week holiday i.e.3 days when negotiating early release redundancy as I managed to get new job whilst still working.

Then i agree that the error from HMRC has cost you a fair amount. It's shame you actually claimed UC because you could have argued that your claim should never have closed, although it may not have offically closed.

If you're expecting your wages from your new employer this assessment period then your UC first payment will be reduced to zero. Then you're left with a £400 debt to pay back :/

1st wage last day April and each month thereafter, it's going to be during uc assessment i guess.

For your first UC payment it will depend when your assessment periods are. UC entitlement is based on earnings received during that AP. If those first wages fall outside your first AP then you will receive the full UC amount for your first payment (£409ish) for the month. The following payment will highly likely reduce to zero though.

    @poppy12345

Thankfully this is being investigated, seems my 1st e chat csr could have and should have noticed that wtc's were closed early March.
I've this morning accepted a call, answered one or two questions.
Going forward, best case result, could mean some sort of payment being made in addition to UC payments (if there's any)
I'll know hopefully by next week at the latest.

    thanks
