Hi all
Went to the no waste food hub again and got a few things, bread, croissants for the freezer, raspberries, carrots and a couple of tins. Gave a donation - do i lose a NSD?!
Had a busy afternoon at a virtual meeting, have to take the minutes but spent the whole meeting on chat to IT trying to sort out issues. Fortunately the meetings are available on youtoob so i can relive it tomorrow !
Did exercise class on Fb this eve.
Feels cold today so going for a bath and early night.
gratitudes - IT help at work; comments back from mentor for my studies; national tea day

Evening all
NSD here, think I am on 14 or 15? Sounds better than it is, I just save up my spends for one day instead! Petrol and food delivery tomorrow.
Today was a very long day at work with lots of pointless driving in rush hour (don't miss that at all) but got lots done this afternoon. Went for a swim just now, not much as feeling knackered as not been sleeping well but feel better for having done it.5 -
Wednesday- NSD 12.
I had a very long to-do list, I have been busy all day 😇 and I still have a very long to-do list 😱. I have done some of the listed jobs and some "unplanned" ones. Unfortunately doing some of the things has added more to the list.
It was a beautiful day so I have mostly ignored the inside tasks but did lots of garden/outdoor jobs and managed an outdoor chat with a friend.
Grateful today -for my neighbour gifting me a plant, for clothes drying on the line and a catch up with my friend.6 -
Morning, still on nsd#12 as I bought myself some chocolates (which were reduced) with some belated birthday money.
Walked to the village to deposit my birthday check, then spent the rest of the morning & all afternoon in the garden weeding.
Hubby didn't get his operation as his blood pressure was too high, but the doctor has said he'll be able to come back to Orkney very soon. Don't know if that will be to the local hospital or home, but at least we'll all be on the same island!
Grateful for hubby coming home soon, a hot bath & pampering, Our Yorkshire Farm programmeUse it up, wear it out

I am grateful for working at home today as am struggling to leave house this week.
Wondering at what size I plant out my sunflowers? They are getting to a healthy 15 cm, with a few leaves, but I keep waiting for the frost to clear!
I am slightly struggling o rekindle my social life - but I think I am just too busy, am looking forwards t the bank holiday weekend. I just seem so out of the habit of seeing people.
Thrifty sometimes when I feel blue I will just put one of those countryside programmes on where they're just herding sheep - it's nice - my dog loves it as well :-)Isa help to buy: 1000/3000 33%
Emergency fund: 100/1000 10%
Weight loose 8.6 kg - while having fun. 0/8.6 0%

Sending hugs @ditty1234. Could you harden your sunflowers off? If you put them outside in the morning, then bring them inside again at night, it will prepare them for being outside full time. Yes, I love those programmes too, a bit of escapism, even though I live in the countryside!Use it up, wear it out

Thrifty - if they send dh home, does that mean that he won't have the op?

Thrifty - That is good news. Aberdeen is an awful long way from Orkney.
NSD No 11.
The final two cushions arrived (already paid for). It's looking really nice but best of all my back pain has almost gone. Certainly a huge improvement in the last couple of days. Think I'd quite like some candles and ferns to just finish it off but I'll leave that for now.
My blue envelope with my second vaccination appointment arrived today, It's next Wednesday. I must confess I was getting a bit concerned because everyone else I know had already had theirs. The reason was (as I thought it might be) is that I am just a couple of years older (which takes me into the higher group) so I'm being allowed to go to a centre nearer home which is only opened two days a week now so they have fewer appointments. It's a relief, though. The thought of trying to phone to find out what had happened was really beginning to stress me out.
Need to go to the fruit shop tomorrow as I am running out a salad type things.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.6 -
NSD 12, also earned a £20 voucher for a surveywoke up early so logged onto work before 8am. Had a productive day despite technology causing a few problems! Put out of office on till Tuesday although have a virtual meeting for my self employment role tomorrow morning. Going to do pilates on Fb and have a walk. Have been very frugal with food spends; making myself choose meals from what i already have rather than going to the c00p. Fridge and freezer stocks going down nicely so i can defrost them soon (non stop excitement here
Gratitudes - my £20 JL voucher to go with my £20 JL birthday vouchernice phone chat with DD2; sitting in the sunshine in the garden at lunch and hearing lots of birdsong
