Still on NSD7, I keep finding myself with spare time on the afternoon school run, and ending up in Mr T's, for something to do, then sat on the car park waiting, bored. Silly low spends, but too many of them.Dr F has started a diet, so I am dieting by default (nobody mention the very small packet of chocolate buttons on the carpark - it is our secret). Hoping for drastic weight loss success in minimal time (step away from the buttons then!).Took back some c/s trousers and a top that were hopelessly wrong in the sizing, 2 shops were lovely, changed them fine for another item, one was absolutely horrid, refused even an exchange without both till receipts (I only had the card payment receipt) even though the label was still on. Good customer service really is priceless.Grateful for: 2 lovely charity shop ladies (and getting trousers that properly fit the boys), still having a bit of the budget left, getting some things done, having less on tomorrow.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

NSD 11 . Have just done a flurry of surveys so hoping to have earned a few pounds once they are approved
Pay day today. Still had £240 left from last month; would've been unheard of a year ago. Putting it towards DD2's bedroom transformation. Had a quote from a painter to do her room and the kitchen. Not very MSE but i want to put my house back up for sale next year so seeing it as invest to save
Also got bargain furniture for DD2's room - was given a chest of drawers and bought a bedside cabinet off Fb - friend is upcycling both so will only need to pay for materials.
Had a sluggish day at work then had 2 virtual meetings for PT job. Going for a walk before early night.

Evening all
Busy day at work today but keeping on top of things. Using my to do list again the past week or so has made a massive difference, I no longer feel like I'm panicking or all over the place. I have no idea why I stopped using it in the first place, guess it just fell by the wayside during lockdown.
Today I'm grateful for a nice walk this morning, pilates, and tasty slow cooked Thai curry for dinner.5 -
Tuesday- yesterday was a spend day as the man came to fit the new motor on the boiler. Turns out the boiler is really quiet 🤣, it's been very noisy since we moved in and I just assumed that's what it was like. I've got used to the background noise and it's a bit odd not having it grumbling away!
Today was a NSD so on 11/16.
Not much else going on, I have a list for tomorrow and plans to get lots done- we will see.
Grateful today for the boiler getting fixed quickly, rain overnight but sun through the day and seeds starting to grow.6 -

Hugs to all those who are struggling & a finger wagging to the naughty step people!
Felt quiet tired this morning, so closed my eyes for half an hour until the pop quiz on radio 2. Afterwards I went into the garden & managed to dig out the enormous root ball of a plant. Seemed like I had a rubber spade trying to split it, but I managed it in the end & planted all the bits in their new places. Another job less for hubby to do.
Sorted through a few drawers, put some in CS bag, some for washing to wear & some to sell. Took oldest two sons for their vaccine, then made chicken curry for tea.
Had a video chat with hubby, so he told me he has a rogue gene that's caused his illness. Only 3% of the population has it. He's definitely getting his op tomorrow, so then we'll know if this will reoccur or be a one off, & also the time frame for his transplant.
Grateful for digging up the wretched plant, laughing with hubby & reading my bookUse it up, wear it out
Make do or do without!
If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours 😃

Can I come off the naughty step. Nothing spent today. NSD No 11
Oh, the cushions are gorgeous and the boosters are making such a difference to my bad back. Think Himself is getting just a little too comfortable though. Definitely a bit of lounging going on there.
As restrictions are easing a bit I was looking to see what self catering accommodation was available. Not a lot and so, so expensive. Can't really blame people though. They have had such a difficult year. Still not booking until I see how things pan out.Have adventures. laugh a lot and always be kind.7 -
Me too @Toni'sfriend. NSD 11/16 here also.
Just finished work and am now sitting out in the garden enjoying the sun and a tea.
Decent day at work - a good few things off the to-do list. I also went for a walk with my bf at lunchtime. She's got a fancy watch which told us we walked 3 miles. She moved into a gorgeous new house during lockdown and has just had her garden professionally done and bought a big garden playset for her DSs. Looking forward to taking DS over to play some day soon. Sooner if this gorgeous weather keeps up!
Had literally 3 breakfasts today in an effort to use up fruit and yoghurts. 7am - porridge with very ripe mango and coconut yoghurt, 11am toast and very ripe banana, 2pm yoghurt with museli and ripe strawberries!
Grateful for lovely weather, a walk with my bf, and to have food. I read a report yesterday about food workers who are in food poverty, and not actually being able to feed their own families.NST 🐢 & MF before 40 🤸4 -
Today was NSD 8 and I have a clean kitchen, with tidy shelves, and a nicely mopped and scrubbed floor and I cleaned tiles on the walls too. Even descaled the coffee machine. How domesticated is that? Total waste of a day
but lots of silly jobs knocked off the list.
Diet going well (except for only being able to think about food), really looking forward to the cauliflower curry that is smelling gorgeous and is very nearly ready.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Had a quiet day yesterday as bits of me were not working as they should. Did some weeding and trimming as the green bin was going out for collection. Mum wasn't feeling well so I helped her into the shower (she was mostly frightened of falling) and passed her bottles of shampoo etc as she needed them. Also did a quick shower tidy - put the potty back under the little stool with the heavy plant pot on top. Walked backwards and forwards a few times to water side of the path pots and the 'rockery' and watered the rhubarb crowns planted on Sunday. Paint was delivered (due today) but decided I was not up to starting painting. Got ready for a quick trip to town to take the cs bags and a few errands but decided against it.
Woke up this morning and everything hurt. Put my hands down on the bed on either side of me to push myself into a more upright position and it hurt (I yelled, I did not do a bad swear). Not fit for anything (today was starting painting day). Struggled to make decisions - was it less effort to go in the shower whilst I was already in the bathroom rather than coming back later (it was, but needed a lie down after). Used the ibuprofen spray on my shoulder and middle of my back. Back felt lovely, shoulder took a while to ease and still had to be careful (once those subsided I could feel some of the other injuries).
Filled in an online form to have BHF collect the bags of donations - mainly for larger items but the bags are bulky and I haven't been able to walk much all week and not sure when I will be able to. Filled in the form and explained that I hated to be a nuisance but I was having problems walking (would have been difficult even with a taxi and the walker). Up to them if they want to do it or not but the bags were bugging me - there are a few things I want to do but getting the bags out was the main one.
Mum has painted the gate slowly but is having it all silver (currently all the straight bars are black and the twisty bars and pointy bits are silver) so has used all the paint. She wanted me to open 'that large tin'. This was the black paint I searched everywhere for (but I have about 5 tins under my table so her vague directions confused me). She is convinced there is some silver paint in the shed but doesn't want to go and look in there. This was leftover paint from about 3 years ago and I have a feeling it's gone now - think it was dried up.
I had ventured out into the yard (mum wanted me to find her turps, a paintbrush, a stirring stick, something to put the turps in and to open the silver paint). I managed to finish the first coat on the raised bed I started painting on Sunday, mostly sitting down on a chair and on two little filing cabinets on the other side of the table. Might have done more but there is nowhere to paint where I will not get spots on the paving so will have to wait for the first one to dry.
Food has been more leftovers and freezer findings. I have taken out a portion of lamb curry and one of lamb hotpot but they were still solid lumps so will do for tomorrow. So far it has been an NSD (14?) but may do a food order. Lots of things I can do something with but it may get a bit strange and if I'm going to do painting and putting raised beds in place and then filling them (lugging buckets of soil around) I could do with some easy options. We are out of some things and I will need to order food at some point so it depends on delivery slot availability - Thursday and Sunday have slots from 2pm but Friday and Saturday are nearly fully booked - not keen on after dark deliveries or racing against the safety alarm deadline.
Grateful for frozen berries, cooking bacon, beautiful mushrooms (family size box and there were 8 mushrooms in it - 2 of them is plenty), the boards I painted looking a lot better when they dried, ibuprofen in all it's forms.
